Horrible. Told my daughter they wouldn’t cash a payroll check from that bank because she didn’t have an account. She was told a parent had to come in. I wasted 4 hours of my day coming in to the city to help her. When we got there we were told to wait while they called multiple managers and other branches and would not cash it. Payroll checks were from a trusts individual with multiple Boston small businesses. Not good for Boston not good for small business. Horrible customer service.

The Belmont MA Branch is absolutely terrible. No one knows anything. The manager does not seem to ever be working there. Call them on the phone and its a disaster. Closing my accounts and moving to Rockland

Just went to M&T in Belmont Center, Massachusetts to try to run a cashiers check with cash I brought. My wife is a member I am not. I was doing nothing in terms of moving money into or out of an account, and I could prove who I was and provide all necessary information including her Social Security number, bank account number, etc.. However, well, my wife had 100° fever at home they forced her to come down to deal with this. This is just crap customer service at this place and I can tell you this is only one of several issues we've had with them. Take your business elsewhere.

Bank Associate Magdeline attended my issue where another branch unpurposely fell short. Very pleasant and professional. I am a previous customer of People's United Bank, at first I was reluctant about the merge, but today I am surprisingly pleased. Thank you

There are 3-Homeless people sleeping in the lobby Every night. Two are a couple, they are all on top of each other. The other is a guy, he will tell you to close the door, like you just entered his home! It's Disturbing to see and have to deal with. The Bank Employees are aware of this, they are ignoring it.

PU...People's United is incompetent in communicating with customers. They recently took over Belmont Bank in MA. and they are ruining the relations with customers with horrible service, rude employees, and an arrogance that defies description. Avoid this bank.

I put in a wire transfer where I accidentally withdrew money instead of depositing money, which left me a negative balance. I was never notified of this and managed to catch it the next day. I got 5 overdraft fees, which were $37 each and 2 of them were $1.80 venmo charge.

I got 5 overdraft fees, which were $37 each and 2 of them were $1.80 venmo charge. I worked with Glory Coleman who is provided terrible customer service. Took 1 in person visit, 4 phone calls (2 of which were never returned), and an unanswered email to get told only refund 3 of 5 and that there was "nothing they could do." Been my bank for 5 years and always have a big positive net balance. Terrible experience from a mediocre bank. This is the final straw and take my business elsewhere immediately .

this bank treated my aunt who is disabled, legally blind like she was nothing. we had all the proper paperwork from the lottery commission, and a different form of I.d , birth certificate. and because we said no to open a checking account, she seen the I.d expired 2 days ago. and wouldnt cash the check. that bank only cares about themselves

Went in to look at a charge that was charged and deducted the money from my account but wasn't listening in the app logs. Instead of helping me they told me they could not help me and insisted that the charge didn't occur. I contacted the company that placed the charge and they did in fact charge it. Not sure who trains these people, great bank but stay away from this location.

Terrible bank. Have belonged to 5 banks in my lifetime, people's United was the worst. Bad locations, many fees, run around, the bank is just garbage.
