The store is small and the selection of books in some categories is limited. I live in the neighborhood and come in frequently, but am never recognized or greeted, nor am I ever offered any help. I like to shop local, but I don't find a very welcoming atmosphere.

Fabulous women-owned bookstore in Jamaica Plain, selling, as far as I could tell, only new books. Leave plenty of time to browse - the selection of books is wide ranging, and, for a relatively small space, very large and comprehensive. The exterior signage alone is remarkable! Definitely among my favorite bookstores world-wide. I came away with their The Papercuts Anthology: What Happened Here, a collection of poems, essays, and fiction by authors they hosted during their first year (2014) in business. What a nice souvenir, co-edited by the store's owner, Kate Layte.

Cute and unique little local place. They have a dog in there every once in a while who's just the best. Bought some beautiful notebooks there and a book on funeral readings and poetry

Really enjoyed visiting this well-stocked shop in Jamaica Plain. Excellent & eclectic selection of books as well as very good 'other things' like an Owl poster, like quirky stationary, like cool merch. Definitely check this bookshop out and support them!

A sweet little local bookshop! Good selection of kids books and the owner is helpful and nice.Heads up: There's a sweet, ancient beagle who roams the bookstore. He's a good but loud dog. If you are a little anxious around canines, you might want to go somewhere else.

Smaller bookstore in Jamaica Plain. I was surprised at how many they are able to store in this smaller space but they do. So you will most likely find what you are looking for.You won’t find comfy chairs and such so this isn’t a bookstore where you sip a tea while looking at books. Also when I asked for a book one of the workers said she didn’t think they had it but I did end up finding it on the shelf.It’s an independent woman-owned bookstore in a fun neighborhood to explore.

Wonderful and knowledgable staff. They have an adorable dog in the shop some days so check the front door before bringing in your own four footed friend! If they don't have the book they do not mind ordering for you. Lovely vibe.

This bookstore’s staff recommendations are top-notch, and the catalog as well. The atmosphere is great, like a cozy library, which makes browsing a wonderful experience.
