***Warning: long review incoming***I am a returning customer, but unfortunately I had a very poor experience this time around for Valentine’s Day that inclined me to write this review.My partner’s favorite flowers are gardenias. I am aware of the difficulties getting gardenias around this time of year, so I called Olympia Flower Store on 1/16 to place my order for a Valentine’s Day bouquet with a special request for gardenia’s instead of white roses. I explicitly ask the associate who is handling my order if this is possible, and was never told otherwise nor of any potential difficulties. The order would be completed via pickup on Valentine’s Day. Given that I called nearly a month in advance, I thought I did the right thing and should be set come Valentine’s Day. Right?Come late Sunday night during the Superbowl on 2/11, the shop gives me a call that I missed. I checked my voicemail and was informed that it would be very difficult and did not seem likely that my request for gardenia’s in the order would be fulfilled. They told me that in the event that the gardenias could not be found, they would make the order regular and I can pick it up or decline the order. My immediate thought is that why am I being informed of this only a couple of days before Valentine’s Day? Wouldn’t this have been something that should have been known earlier during the couple of weeks since I placed my order, back on 1/16? The following Monday I called 15 other flower shops on the thin chance that they had any gardenia flowers, and was told no dice and/or I would have had to called well in advance. Per same time, I am working with Olympia Flower Store through multiple back and forth phone calls. The whole time during this back and forth they express to me the difficulties of getting gardenias and that they will check with their whole sale supplier to see if they have it. I will note that throughout the multiple back and forth that I felt like I kept getting put off/was getting strung along without a clear indication of the status.Come Valentine’s Day (2/14) I was supposed to get a final call in the morning of on whether they were able to find gardenias. No call was received. I called the store multiple times to check on the status of my order, whether they were able to locate gardenias or if they just made the order regular. My calls kept going to voicemail. As I wasn’t able to get a hold of anybody via phone, I went down to the store in the afternoon because I needed to pick up my order regardless. After arrival, it turns out they didn’t even have my order ready for pickup, and it was clear that there was some miscommunication among the staff there probably explaining why my order had not even begun/was ready for pickup. I heard one of the store associates state “If you had told me about the gardenias, I wouldn’t have forgotten.” I was at a loss of words for what I was experiencing. Another store associate told me that they would make it up to me and make my order on the spot now. I believe it was one of the store owners, Joe, who made my order without the gardenias. When Joe completed the order, I told some of the details of what happened with my order, and he told me “I don’t know what to tell you.”Overall just a very frustrating and disappointing experience as it was very clear that there was a lack of communication and poor management on my order. It definitely felt like my order fell through the cracks here.On the one bright side, shout out to the gentleman with the glasses whom I worked with at Olympia last year on my order and remembered me.

Ordering delivery for Valentine's Day could not have been easier! Can't recommend Olympia Flower enough!Most people would joke that if you have flowers delivered to significant other on Valentine's, you need to do it at work to make a scene. Right? I was able to quickly and easily schedule delivery for the Back Bay area to my partner's office with simple instructions in the notes of where to drop off.Olympia's delivery arrived perfectly timed during a large meeting with another manager bringing them in from the front desk. To me this was absolutely perfect timing on the delivery person's part since I wanted to be able to make a (thoughtful) scene from over on the West Coast today.Big Thank You to Olympia for an incredibly easy transaction through and through. And she loved the flowers, the surprise delivery, and had only great things to say about the arrangement itself. 10/10 would order again

Walking into the store I was so beautiful from the Xmas decorations. Wonderful selection of flowers staff members great conversation about the photos of Boston. Still got my flowers before they closed.

Spoke with both Johnny and Larry about special flower arrangement to brighten my neice's day and they were friendly and helpful. The arrangement included dahlias, roses, and lilies and beautiful designed; my niece was thrilled and sent me photos as it definitely brightened her evening. Thank you to everyone at the store for going above and beyond. I highly recommend this store.

Worst place you may go to! In terms of customer service!They are rude to customers and they don’t ask you for your order style preference. They refused to look at the picture provided that simulate the desired order.And when you ask for an adjustment, they get mad at you!!
