One star for three reasons:- Repeated instances of being over an hour late with their own patient appointments- Front desk representatives were at times unable to answer basic questions around as billing, procedure codes, and past appointments- Over a 3 month wait to schedule annual eye exams even as an existing patient with flexible schedule

I just called to make/confirm an appt. and got a promotional recording that you could not opt out of. When a live operator came on, she continued to promote the offer and ignored my interruptions. This is not what you should be confronted with when calling an MD office. I hung up and will be moving my eye care elsewhere.

I travel all over the US and every 5 weeks or so I have to get shots in both eyes. Boston Ophthalmologist Consultants is the best. I have seen 3 different doctors here and all excellent. I can't say enough about the staff. Friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Wish they were in every city I visit.

Have been waiting 4 days for the Sandwich office to call in a prescription to my pharmacy. Have called office multiple times since Friday. No one call has been returned. I had the procedure done at Sandwich office Friday 1/12/23. Was told to take medications that day for infection. Called office this morning and was told prescriptions would be called in. Now it’s afternoon and pharmacy has still not been called.Why is it so difficult?

I was treated by the entire staff as if I was a well liked neighbor. The two doctors that examined me were extremely thorough explaining everything and answering all of my questions. I will definitely return to Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston for my eye care.

Dr McHam did my cataracts. She and her assistants did a wonderful job and accommodated any problems with scheduling. I was very happy with the level of efficiency and service for such a busy office! Her scheduler Theresa is a gem!

My husband and I have been patients of OCB for over 5 years now and are very happy with our experience. Dr Ansari is a recognized specialist of glaucoma and was referred to me by another surgeon from another part of the country. His accolades are well earned and we could not be in better hands. I’ve also seen Dr Rifkin for MEWDS. She is another expert on her field who took great care in my treatment and recovery. Dr Ferrucci is also excellent. His recommendations and prescriptions are spot on. Days of tired eyes and headaches, prescriptions that aren’t quite right are long gone in his care. In terms of staff, we have been in the Boston. Framingham and Waltham offices plus the surgical center. Everyone is very professional, kind, they get you in and out as fast as possible. I’ve never had to wait long. They do a nice job of balancing tests with diagnosis. Very pleased with OCB and confident our vision is in the best hands.

This organization sucks!! It's all about earnings for this company. They intentionally overbook patients keeping people waiting well over an hour for their appointment. I'm currently waiting an hour & 45 minutes for my appointment

PLEASE READ;I am a person who carefully reads Google reviews. I believe the opinions of the general public hold tremendous weight and more agencies should pay attention to what people have to say. After all it's FREE advice.I have very complicated eye care; SEVERE bilat narrow angle glaucoma for starters. I was referred to this facility by my doc in western Massachusetts. After reading these reviews I was hesitant to say the least. I do not drive bc my vision is poor. I got a ride that was a 4 hour r)t and arrived on time. There is no question this is a bustling and very busy office. My experience was TOP NOTCH! I can not give enough positivefeed back.My wait time between tests and exams was minimal and they were particularly respectful of my time constraints. I was entirely impressed w) Dr.Ansari and his fellow. They were both knowledgeable, compassionate and outstanding in their explanation of my current status as well as the upcoming surgery to place a "tube" in the right eye to facilitate drainage of the optic fluids. All of my questions were answered and my anxiety was alleviated.I am in agreement that it is difficult to wait, frustrating to feel unheard and the feeling you have "wasted your time" can evoke anger.My best suggestion would be to personally confirm your appt times, be certain they DO accept your insurance for any/ all tests, procedures etc.Understand that YOU are your best and biggest advocate for your health care. Do your research, read reviews and choose a facility that best meets YOUR personal needs. I see this facility as one for specialized eye care. It would not be my first choice for a yearly eye exam or an Rx for glasses, contacts etc. That being said I will surely add an update following my surgery. I can only hope to continue experiencing smooth, compassionate care from this gifted group of Drs, surgeons, techs etc.

I had to travel 2 hrs each way, and it was worth every minute. It was an across-the-board excellent experience at the Waltham clinic. Really friendly staff, very efficient process from start to finish, attractive location with easy parking. I had an extremely satisfying and productive meeting with the ophthalmologist, Dr. Rao.

Just tried to order contacts online and the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and refused to email me any information regarding my prescription. This is a problem I have had with them in the past and will be changing eye doctors, trying to even see is an ordeal with them.
