My fiance and I enjoyed the tour with Steven O Donnel. He was super knowledgeable and is extremely passionate about the history in the Nichols House! I love how every detail in the house holds a purpose, a story :) this is a gem of a place! Stop by to see what it was like to live in the 1800s and hear about the life of the Nichols sisters. Thank you Steven!

We had a great guide on a Sun (cant remember her name) but she was full of energy and you caught her excitement. The family that owned the house was quite amazing with female carpenters and landscape designers so it's quite the story along with a cool house. Def should go!

This living museum was a fantastic experience. Liz our tour guide was insightful, welcoming and no question was too outlandish to warrant an answer.
Thanks Liz for letting me wax lyrical over the 1930s bathroom and sweetheart toaster!

The house itself is beautiful and the rooms that you will visit are very well presented with a lot of items owned by the family. We had a small group of three and our tour lasted around 25 minutes excluding time in the shop! The guide was very friendly and allowed lots of opportunities for questions. It was quite a brief tour that gave you an overview of the family who owned the property and also the area and architecture but if you're looking for an in-depth house tour this one may not be quite what you're after.I'd recommend checking opening and tour times as they are quite limited. There's also a small shop downstairs too with postcards and souvenirs!

I had such a great time visiting this place where I could imagine myself living in this house. Liz was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. She also tailors the tour base off of your interests. The interior and decor were really interesting especially I got to learn about some history and how people at the time use their furniture differently in this Bostonian federal house. It was a really rewarding visit. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful tour at the Nichols House during our Boston visit. We were the only ones on the tour and the guide was great about letting us take our time and answered all our questions. A beautiful, hidden, Boston gem! ❤️ I’ve followed them on social media for years and loved seeing it in person. Highly recommend!

I’ve walked about Beacon Hill many times. I always wanted to see the inside of one of these beautiful houses and wondered who lived here. Excellent tour! The items are all original. The family was involved in the art world as well as activities going on in that time period. The tour guide was so interesting! I will surely go again!

It's a beautiful building with a very knowledgeable staff. We visited on Free Fun Friday and took their (abbreviated?) tour. We didn't hear much about Rose and her family during the tour. A perfect time to chat about them would have been while we waited outside for the next tour to begin.
