Great location- walking distance to many places such as China Town, paul Revere House, boston tea party museum, aquarium. The observation desk is wonderful. You can do your laundry for free. The 1st floor is really nice. Breakfast is al la carte.

No real value in being a Bonvoy Gold elite staying at a local Marriott. Stopped in and asked nicely to use a restroom for my wife and they refused. I understand not the general public, but a current hotel guest being denied. Not sure that service is what I would want from a vacation club. Very sad

The Custom House is an excellent place to stay - it is very conveniently located and it is extremely well-appointed with a helpful staff. The suite we were in was spacious and appeared to be recently renovated, plus the bed was exceedingly comfortable! Easy walk to the harbor, Faneuil Hall, and multiple subway stops. About a 20-minute drive to Fenway. Views from the observation deck are stunning! Downside - valet parking is expensive!

Perfect location. Located within walking distance of Quincy Market and The Aquarium. Lots of restaurants and stores around it. Plus they have an observation deck that over looks the whole city. Absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be staying again.

I rarely write reviews, however our stay at this location was incredible. The location is perfect- next to Quincy market and across from a T station. The room was exactly what we needed traveling with a toddler- there was a bathroom in between the room and the living room which gave us the ability to put our son down and not be trapped without a bathroom. The amenities include an awesome observation deck and a cute activity room for the little ones. On top of all of that, we were able to drop off our luggage before check-in, and with a later flight, they allowed us to utilize the amenities even after check-out. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

What can we say about this amazing and very special hotel? Right from check-in Lisa and staff made our Scottish boys feel very welcome, they even arranged milk, cookies and birthday cards to meet us in the room. The clock tower games room and 360 view terrace will stay with us for a lifetime. We felt very special and cared for, the location, the service, the rooms and views are all out of this world. One of the nicest (and historic) hotels we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Thank you from your Scottish visitors in June!

Hello. I was very excited to stay here as I made the reservation about a year ago. The ride to the hotel was quick via Uber from Logan. Walking into the lobby was like walking into history. Beautifully decorated and also museum-like. Check-in was very quick and courteous.
The room was great! I was in a one-bedroom unit on the 11th floor. It had everything I needed for my two week stay. I appreciated the kitchenette so I didn’t have to eat out every meal. The bed was super comfortable and the couch very relaxing.
I used the gym and laundry facilities during my stay. Everything worked great and I had no issues getting a machine. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just a block from the water and also from some great attractions. Right out the front door is an entrance to the blue T line for great subway access. The one feature I enjoyed the most was the top floor had a full 360 observation deck. I went up there almost every day.
Overall, I had a great time and appreciate the staff making feel at home for my two weeks in their great city.

A stay at the historic Custom House in the heart of Boston's Quincy Market/Harbor area is a marvelous treat. The one bedroom units have a separate living/dining area and small kitchenettes. There are laundry facilities upstairs and spectacular 360 views from the rooftop. There isn't a proper restaurant but who needs one in the heart of. Boston with so many just outside the door! Breakfast items are available at reasonable prices and coffee and tea are available all day in the lounge. They also offer activities like walking tours of the area, which are lots of fun. The Custom House is a Marriott Vacation Club property and can be booked through Bonvoy/Marriott.
Nearby activities: Historic sites from the Old North Church to Old Ironsides and many stops on the "Freedom Trail" are a short walk away, as are Boston Commons and Public Gardens with its wonderful Swan Boats. The North End, harbor, Boston Garden (sporting events) are all a short walk from Marriott's Custom House.
Walkability: The Custom House is in the heart of Boston's historic center and an easy walk to many key sites. The T, Boston's public transit system, is steps away. The harbor is also quite close.
Food and drinks: There is a wealth of choice for food and drink in the surrounding area. Quincy Market is right outside and the North End (Boston's Italian neighborhood) is a five minute walk as is the Boston Public Market and lots and lots of restaurants, bars and pubs at all levels of sophistication and price points.

The hotel looks very nice but it is really a shame that they don’t let non-quests to go up to the observation deck.
