i went into Mac today (6/22). I was looking for loose powder that I like. I was told that it's discontinued I asked what is in its place, she pointed to another loose powder, I told her which would be closest to what I have (I had my Mac powder with me) She said not 1 out of the 5 or 6 would match me & I that i should go to bare minerals! Dont not recommend this locatio!

Never have anything in stock. The seller was not very helpful. I’m a customer of Mac for 6 years, and I had a sub par experience here.

I had the pleasure of having my make up done by Mike. He did a demo with me because I walked in without an appointment. He was extremely accommodating! He explained everything to me and really put me at ease. I never wear makeup, and he was so patient. Other customers came in while he was working with me and he took care of everyone. While managing 4 different people, he managed to make all of us feel special. What a gem!

I had my makeup done by Jason at the M.A.C. inside Macys in Downtown Crossing on Saturday for a black tie gala. The store was incredibly busy because of the Pride parade but Jason handled the chaos with ease and gave me his full attention. At first I was a little unsure about a 68 year old man doing my makeup but he set me at ease right off the bat telling me about his lifetime of experience working on models and high profile clients. I had a fabulous time talking with him and hearing about his exciting life full of adventures all over the world and I kept thinking how lucky I was to have landed in his chair that day. The experience of spending an hour with this clever, hilarious man was well worth the trip aside from the fact that he did an amazing job on my makeup! I showed him a photo of a dewy, sun kissed model wearing bronze and gold tones with a natural lip and he executed it perfectly. I absolutely loved my look- my lashes were perfect, I loved the colors he chose and I didn't feel the least bit "overdone". Jason is a true artist and spending time chatting with him was definitely a highlight of my Boston trip. I highly recommend booking an appointment with him for your next event- I certainly hope that I will have the opportunity again someday!

I went to the makeup stand in Downtown Boston! Let me tell you.. the store manager is amazing. The staff has an amazing connection you can sense how much they care and appreciate each other. My makeup came out exactly how I wanted it if not better' I wasn't rushed, I also had a child with me and they were so helpful! 5 stars! Thanks so much for the help! The manager I forget his name bragged about his staff and the company, the integrity, wit, love, and art was all apart of the experience I had!

This is a bit late, but I just wanted to thank the entire staff at the Downtown Crossing MAC for their amazing service when I was having a particularly rough day. Back in June I had an awards show to go to and long story short, ALL of my clothes, makeup, shoes, keys, everything.. was locked in my friend's condo and that door wasn't opening back up until the next day. So with a black tie event in less than 3 hours, safe to say I was in panic mode.... The staff at MAC were amazing. They made me laugh, kept me calm, and my makeup came out gorgeous (as per usual at this makeup counter. I go there for every event I have). I ended up getting dressed in the dressing room at Macy's, throwing my hair into a low ponytail and made it to the event on time. The ladies doing my makeup were joking I had to win that night because my day had to turn around at some point... and they were right! All of my pictures look fabulous thanks to them. I loved my smokey eye and nude lip. And of course the lashes were perfect. Thank you, thank you!! I won't go anywhere else for makeup in the city.

This year is my 10 year anniversary with Mac on Washington st. First time I got my make up done there for prom and fell in love. Back then I was 17 and it wasn't hard to impress me . I have been with Mac ever since for all events. I have seen so many people come and go in 10 years. The reason I want to leave this review today is because I want to give a big shout out to Mike who took me last minute last Thursday. I needed make up for our VIP party at work. People said I look stunning. Thank you Mike! Costumer service is not always the strong point in this location but Mike was defiantly different and he defiantly one of the nicest employees there.

Nice staff and is located inside Macy's. Didn't have the foundation I needed (checked on 3 different days) as they were out off stock. Better to visit the Mac on Newberry St. as they have more products.
