Customer service is seriously lacking here. They don't reply to emails and it feels like they are pretty disorganized.
My friend was visiting Boston a few months ago and I emailed these guys to place an order for a number of cigars. I wanted a few different ones but very specific. I asked for them to be wrapped up and ready for pick up so my friend could pick up and go.
Nobody replied to my email.
I called them and the guy said he got my email and will have someone put them together. He did mention that one of the cigars on my list is not available. So I made a new list and sent that over. I emphasized the importance of having this particular number of cigars so if they found any others not available, to let me know so I could choose something else in its place.
No reply.
I called again and it was confirmed that the order was put together and ready for pick up. I asked and confirmed again that all the cigars from the list were there. I was told yes.
Friend went to pick up the cigars abd called me because the prices on the website are not what was being charged. It was due to special taxes that Boston charges. Fine. I wasn't aware but that's not their problem. But the price thwy said it would be was not the price charged. Off by about $20 but whatever.
I sent my friend with a cigar carrier to ensure no damage would be made during transporting them from US to Canada.
When I finally got rhe cigars 2 days later, I quickly realized one was missing. This really pissed me off because I have made extra effort to make sure they understood that the actual number of cigars was important. That why I asked multiple times. The person confirming was obviously not checking.
Second, one of the cigars was damaged. The leaf was broken and coming off.
I emailed again indicating that I expected a reply. I got one. A nice one, actually. They apologized and said it was an error on their part that the cigar was missing. They thought it was 2 instead of 3 in the email.
Then said the broken cigar was not broken and it must have damaged during transportation ( not possible as they were in a cigar case where each cigar was in its own spot with no others touching).
They did offer to replace them both.
I replied, thanking them for the email and offer snd explained, again, that we don't live there and was visiting abd we would have no way of picking them up. I asked.if they could ship them. I would have no problem paying for the shipping, however, no one replied.
I emailed again and no reply to this day.
So perhaps the offer was only made because they knew we didn't live in Boston.
So not very impressed with the customer service of the place. I think I made way more effort than I should have and I felt like they were acting like they were doing me a favor by selling the cigars vs being treated like a customer.
Would not go back or recommend.

My review is very simple. BLEND 500 is the best pipe tobacco I’ve ever smoked. My tobacco Collection is going up for sale. Blend 500 Is the only tobacco for me.

This place is absolutely amazing! I've been looking for a certain kind of tobacco for about five years now, and this guy was able to help me right away. He knew exactly what I was talking about and was over the top, knowledgeable about tobacco. I will be coming back as soon as I can.

What a terrific experience for a pipe enthusiast. The selection of pipes and tobacco are 2nd to none. The customer service is knowledgeable, friendly and sincere. A real gentleman’s pipe shop!!!
