I took my car to Kery's for a starting issue. They had my car for three days and didn't do a thing. I was charged $450 for absolutely nothing. My car still has the same issue. Needless to say I will never return to this establishment again.

These guys are great! They are one of the only autoshops that works with food trucks in Boston. They have done our annual inspection for several years now and have always been fair in dealing with us. Would highly recommend.

I knew my car wasn't going to pass inspection because my check engine light was on. so I went and had it repaired first. They repaired the issue and my check engine light was now off. They told me to drive it for a few days and if the light comes back on that means more work needs to be done. I brought my car to Kery a few days later (when I saw the light didn't come back on) for inspections and he told me he couldn't pass my car because the computer noted that the battery or engine light (?) had recently been reset. He accuse me of purposely resetting it so I could pass inspection. I'm not a mechanic, all I know is I went to have my car REPAIRED so I could pass - we didn't purposely reset the battery to pass fraudulently. Really? It was very uncomfortable for me as a woman to be accused of that. He wasn't even nice. He acted as though I personally knew what happened and did it maliciously to trick him . Very mean.

Rude and scam artist 600$ for a tune up on a 20 year old car. Laughable, he was extremely rude and thought I was gonna let them do the work. No thanks I took my keys and left .

I'm leaving 5 stars. I am so happy with this auto shop and completely bummed that they only have 3 stars because I've only had the most fantastic experience when I go see them. They work very fast, they're not manipulative or money hungry. I'm a young female and it's easy to feel like you're being taken advantage of. I only trust them with my car. I've gone to other places that would charge me a significant amount more money for the work they do. I am very happy here and will continue to rely on their services. Work I've had done by them, big and small: 1. Oil change: lasts me WEEKS, sometimes a suspicious amount of time... hey no complaints 2. Headlights 3. Wheel alignment 4. Brakes My car broke down once in Brockton and it would have cost me way too much to tow it to Hyde Park where Kery's is located. I needed a new alternator but had to go to another auto body. It turned out fine but I would have much rather given Kery's Autoshop the business.

Let me tell you about this place, and share with you the horrific experiences other have had including a sub-personal one. My father relies on his truck to work each day, not every local spot can fit his box truck and he also can't loose a day of work, in this case he should have and it would of been a 1000x better! His front brakes were checked due to noises weeks before and he thought it was the front brakes therefore that's what he instructed to get done. They were checked and assured by his mechanic to be working and in no need for replacement. Unfortunately it was the rear brakes and this didn't cross my dads mind. One morning the brakes go and it's too early to drive around and find anything open. Thats when he's left with no choice but to bring his truck to this wicked "Car Hell!" (if I had to set a metaphor and this is in no way an exaggeration!) All warnings and horror stories had to be put aside alas the situation. Boom! Two pads, one caliper, one rotor and brake fluid and the labor = $600+ Dollars! When I quickly researched the parts my self my price on parts alone was a total of around $225.00! (Without making that stretch to other local cheaper auto part stores) These people jacked my dad off over $400+ Dollars when I know for a fact they got all these parts a lot cheaper than I could of. No sympathy, No remorse for a hard working man and a potential loyal customer! I mean forget a potential regular, right? There's enough new people to play. Well thank goodness a word can get around like a paper boy with the arm of Randy Johnson! He also gave my dad some mumbo jumbo about some special brake juice and that for this reason that ran another $25 which was most-likely some crappy $7 Brake fluid! Word on the garages are they parted from the Dorchester spot because soon after they couldn't get people in there if there was a tornado underway everything else locked! Flying cows everywhere! (Yeah I know it's Boston) And people would still take cover and meet their fate before heading in there! Or if they offered free cookie dough ice cream and a Ferrari rental for waiting customers! Yeah you get the point.... As I was speaking once to my coworker about car troubles he randomly mentioned a shop he once went to in the Hyde Park/ Rosy area for an inspection and how it all started with a religious good guy act. Soon as the inspection started he was told the vehicle wouldn't pass as the airbag light was on but he could work something out for $100.00! My coworker knows his fair share about cars and knew because of the year of the vehicle it wasn't required for the light to be off at all. He called them thieves on the spot and left. Well hell! That shop was coincidentally this shop! While my Dad was being attended he told me there was an elder gentleman with no real knowledge of cars who came in with complaints of noises from under the hood. He was told it was the pulley belt and was quoted a whopping $60 for a part that's $8-$15 to the public and 20 minutes perhaps less on a much simpler older Camry! What a joke! No remorse for the old fella! These type of things really fire me up. And at the end of my Dad's nightmare while driving off the elder gentleman was once again backing up into the garage with the same noises. As it seems the garages diagnose and efforts were worthless. Who knows how bad the poor fella had it that day. When you see these car piranhas keep it moving! Save yourself some money and a headache. They'd charge for walking by the sidewalk if it was private property smh....
