This was a terrible experience. The first tax pro I met with took a long time to start the filing process and made several critical errors that I had to point out. The second tax pro who was brought in to help did her best and worked with me to try and correct the mess; however, errors remain and my state filing is not completed yet despite the passing deadline. Not to mention that I had to go in to the office on 4 different days and spend a total of 8 hours there in the process including on 4/18/23 (deadline date for filing) up until close to midnight. Would never go back to H&R block and would not recommend it to anyone.

This is the first time I used H&R Block app to file taxes and I am never coming back. I will also recommend everyone I know to stay away from this. It's a scam, I tried to submit my taxes and it mentioned that It won't support a feature after I filled all the details and asked to choose a Tax Pro for another $100 on top of already paying $100 for their premium service. If your product doesn't support a feature, why should I pay for it. Now I am stuck in a position, where my federal is filed by H&R Block and their customer service is telling me that there is nothing they can do and I should find my own way to file state taxes. Also, they mentioned on their website that they guaranteed maximum refund, I was able to find other apps where my refund was more than theirs, charges were less and I was able to file both federal/state tax without asking extra money. Scammers!!

This place is absolute garbage. Dropped our tax documents off on Wednesday, had an appointment for noon today and after an HOUR of waiting we were informed that our taxes hadn't been done. With no explanation whatsoever aside from "I've been busy." Not even a phone call prior to the appointment to say it would be delayed, nothing. Completely unacceptable way to conduct business.

I can't say enough about Pearl and the rest of the team at Charlestown. Pearl understood my specific need in regards to an amendment I needed to file. She went above and beyond and explained each step in detail. The team was very flexible with my schedule across the 3 visits I made. Pearl went the extra mile to ensure I was charged in total only what was fair. I will definitely use this office in the future.
