I am not Asian ; but like Asian foods or sauces, spices for home cooking.. Wow; they sell everything and things I didn't see in Chinatown or other Asian stores. The vegetable selection a chef's heaven for different dishes. I counted all types mushrooms fresh that would make excellent different meals... don't see these at regular supermarkets. Also a 1/2 aisle dried mushrooms. Whole area for all types ramen noodles selections.. aisle of spices, another oils... ginger oil ? Not in regular markets... now I need to investigate more Asian food prep. and different vegetables options... Chinese eggplants, the long green beans 2-3 ft long... never saw before... ocean mushrooms I am researching tonight... Very cool for making a meal with authentic Asian ingredients. Aisle of teas was impressive.... Worth a visit and have excellent Ramen next door at Isshindo

Dingy and dirty. However, it's the only Asian grocery store near BU and BC. Free parking lot and next to the Packards Corner Green Line T stop. You're better off going to HMart in Central or going downtown to CMart in Chinatown.

Been going to Super 88 aka Hong Kong supermarket for years now. Huge store with lots of Asian groceries from multiple countries. From produce to spice pastes and sauces to ready to eat foods to china and pots n pans. This store has everything! We usually get dumpling wrappers, rice and frozen food here and sometimes snacks. The food court is great too with lots of different food and drink vendors. I must say that several of the old food shops have closed and new ones have opened. Will definitely miss the Indian food. And Pho Viets has moved across the street so good for them. Another new place which used to be called Silk Road express is now Ali's kitchen- is a new favorite. Been there twice so far and love the cumin flavors, tender meats and hot n fresh yummy food! The chicken skewers are amazing! Must get for sure! The meat filled naan was a good portion and very tasty and filling. The big chicken plate - which we got a medium size comes with rice and is simply delicious- like a chicken stew with potatoes- so tender and amazing flavorful - I just couldn't stop eating it! Service was fairly quick and the food came out piping hot! Great that they have a parking lot which is awesome for this area. Makes it very convenient.

We used to come to this supermarket often but now it has become more and more disappointing. I recently bought some cod fish stored on ice after I confirmed with the staff that the fish just arrived the day before. Then I found out that the fish had gone bad and was very smelly and tasted awful. I do not recommend coming to this place for fresh meat and seafood.p.s. Response to business owner: The fish was purchased on Friday morning, 9/29/2023.

Lots of good Asian snacks, but the frozen aisle is falling apart. Food was rotten when we opened the assorted dim sum, and the ceilings are leaking everywhere. Stick with the dried and packaged goods.

Little bit pricey than other Chinese markets in Boston. The good thing you can get lots of spices, kitchen goods and vegetables here. You can get fish like other chinese market but with less number of varieties. You can also get lots of variety eggs at a reasonable price.

The prince of dumplings soared. Vegetables are not fresh at all. Many expired foods still being sold.

After all, Everything has improved to the best quality, and it's stable for a while. I was so surprised at recent improvements, so I asked manager what happened ?? He told me Hong Kong Market has changed buyer !! For all items !! All selections of meats are always fresh and good prices, also some great Japanese and Korean items and I noticed nearby restaurant workers are buying ingredients here as well. Now I don't have to go far to seek Asian products anymore. The best !

This place has gone downhill. We used to come to eat at the food court and shop groceries afterward. Although the store was pricey but it had decent selection. Now, the best restaurants have left. Selection has gone down and maybe more pricey. I'm not going to that place again.

A lot of vegetables are moldy. You need to really keep eyes open and pick carefully. I saw a worker put dragon fruits on shelf and they already look moldy and withered. Strange since they are just out of box and should be fresh. This let me wonder if they actually buy expired food and sell to customers?

Always an easy access if you are looking for spoiled foods, especially when you come to the freezers. Today I just got myself another pack of molded instant food from Hong Kong supermarket, I don’t even know how many times I’ve encountered such circumstances. WATCH OUT FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY

They have an excellent selection of Asian foods and products. My one quibble is that many Asian vegetables come pre-bagged, and you can't select the amount that you want. That's fine for bean sprouts but not bok choy.

Love this supermarket. Large variety of fruits and vegetables, especially Chinese greens. Large variety of Oriental noodles, wheat and rice and a whole variety of soy sauce, sesame oil and all the Oriental spices. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I needed some hard to find ingredients and couldn't find them anywhere else. They had everything I needed in stock and I bought loads of other things. They have a great food court too with amazing food.

Even if you are just looking for produce? Go! Stand the test between them and other chain grocery stores. So many different things to choose from and how fresh can fish and crab be? They are still alive!
