Such an adorable slice-of-heaven-boutique on Charles Street! I randomly stumbled upon this shop today. It's so beautifully curated and the shop owner was a delight. There's an array of carefully selected pieces and interesting, fun, eclectic accessories. I couldn't resit getting a bracelet (gold woven cuff) and a unique, fabulous necklace that's perfect for my mom! I wanted one of everything. Definitely worth the trip to see this place...

It is harder and harder to find unique items in boutiques because of the internet. The Holiday is just a gem so that you do not see yourself coming and going. Prices for a Charles Street boutique are reasonable. The staff is lovely and oh so nice. I will be bringing everyone here that visits me in Boston and sending my husband my wish list. ;)

I love the store and am very loyal to them. The store owner and the staff are helpful and friendly. I always find something unique there. The store carries the brands that you cannot find in the department stores. They work very hard to keep it that way.

Really adorable items. The 2 regular employees (female with bright blonde hair and tall male with glasses) are quite snooty.

You can always find something unique and flattering here. (And you don't have to be size 0). I love especially their vintage or Pretty Little sister line.

This store is dangerous for me. Every time I walk in, I find myself succumbing to temptation and buying something new. Although the store is tiny, they have a wide range of clothes, jewelry, candles, and accessories (from well known brands such as Laura Moffatt and Jbrand), as well as items made specifically for the shop with the "Holiday" and "pretty little sister" labels. I've picked up a couple of their house label dresses and skirts, and they are unique, beautiful, and well made (though on the pricey side...expect to spend $200+). You can also have dresses or skirts custom made with your choice of a wide array of brilliantly colored fabrics (swatches are available with the fabric choices for your perusal). They have an amazing sale rack where I've picked up a number of nice brand name items at a deep discount. As far as the style of the items, I'd say that they're great for women in their 20's to 40's, but fashionable older women can rock them as well. There's a range of classic, girly, bohemian, preppy, sleek, casual, and romantic pieces. The website is worth checking out. They have an online shop, so you can get things delivered, or you can purchase items online and then pick them up later in shop. There's a blog with fashion and gift advice, as well as updates about newly available items. There's also information about the options for custom skirts and dresses.

So glad I stumbled upon this boutique on my weekend trip to Boston. The window display of amazing dresses caught my eye and I wandered in. Since I had just browsed a few other boutiques where the price of a dress cost as much as my car payment, I was hoping this one would be more promising. Luckily, this place has a great mix of high end designers and a very reasonably priced house-made label called Pretty Little Sister. I think they have another label called Pretty Little Vintage, as well. Their stuff is SOOO well made and different than what you would find in other stores. I ended up walking out with an awesome black and white pleated skirt, a cute top, and a bunch of jewelry. The total was a little over $100. Not bad! Two guys were staffing the store that day, and they were awesome... I wish I could've chatted with them all day! They were really attentive and even told me about how they can make custom designed dresses and skirts. See this link for details: I wish I could make this store magically appear in Maryland where I live! Thanks for some cute new treasures, Holiday! :)

I really love the idea of the store Holliday. They have some amazing girly stuff. I have gotten some great things here. Most recently a fantastic party dress. The main downsides here are their return policy, store credit only and they often have stuff marked up quite a bit. Key example I bought some JBrand jeans here and then saw the exact same pair at Neiman Marcus for 40 dollars cheaper the next day and I couldn't return them because the store credit thing :( I still love Holliday but will now only buy their more exclusive hard to find brands and will try to stick more to their sale section. This place is still great, I get great style inspiration and if my budget was unlimited, I would love to support them more. The owner is great and the people who work here are so nice and friendly. They also have a fantastic blog check it out!

Choosing not to follow the traditional wedding path, I was hard pressed to find a dress that spoke "bridal" without lace, a veil, and those garish crystal beads. One rainy night about 9 days before my "non-wedding wedding," I walked into Holiday and found my dress within 10 minutes. The service was fabulous, the prices reasonable for such special stuff, and the clothes fit my unique frame (petite) like a glove. I'll be back for every special occasion dress I'll need (hopefully not for another wedding dress).

Very adorable boutique, has a great European/Parisian feel to it! While a lot of the clothes are pricey, there is a great selection and variety that is available (including a nice sales rack section towards the back). The sales person was extremely friendly and congenial and I'd love to stop by again.

i purchased a dress in march that was going to be "custom made". After june 30th i went to cancel my order, which was a bit of hastle as my money had been tied up up for months, and i needed to get the managers approval because theres a no cash back policy. Once i got my money back, about 2 weeks laster they received my dress and offered me 20%. Which was nice, but it was july and it was a spring long sleeved dress.

Absolutely LOVE their selection & the ladies there are fabulous. They are just fantastic to work with, always with a smile on their face, which is exactly why I love shopping boutiques. Recommend them strongly for small accessory gifts, or a fun new dress:)!

I have been in Holiday a few times, and each time I walk away with a beautiful addition to my closet. What I like most about Holiday and what I think makes it stand apart from its Beacon Hill neigbors is the fact that they carry harder-to-find lines and slightly more unique items of clothing. I purchased a gorgeous berry pink Hunter Dixon silk blouse last week and know it will be a staple in my wardrobe all summer and in to the fall. I was lucky enough to pop in most recently on a warmer-than-usual April afternoon - perhaps it was the sunshine and nice weather - but the sales associate, who I found out through conversation, happened to be the owner, was really nice - engaging, friendly, extremely helpful and did a nice job paying attention to every customer even though the store was quire busy. I do think, however, upon reading other reviews and talking to friends who live in Beacon Hill, that the sales associates need to work on being better with customers regardless of what else might be going on. Boutiques are large service-based and driven by their sales and a large and loyal customer base. I will certainly be back again (and again) and encourage others, especially those who don't need a lot of attention from sales staff, to pop in and find a treasure!

Holiday is a lot more understated than many of the other brightly-colored boutiques on the Hill, so it is a little easy to miss sometimes, and walking in reminds me a little bit of being in a lacy, pink music box. The clothes are cute, but a lot of them are overpriced and/or sort of little-girlish. I guess my reservations about the store are pretty similar to those held by some other reviewers. The staff tends to be somewhat absent, and even when they are visible in the store (which isn't that hard to do, given that it's smaller than my college dorm room was) they're not particularly attentive or helpful. I don't need a babysitter or a watchdog, but a "Hi, how are you?" would be nice. Overall, this is a store I might swing into if I were in the area anyway, but definitely not a place I'd seek out or go out of the way to visit. If you're shopping on the Hill, have limited time, and want to buy cute clothes, go to Wish or Crush instead.
