Terrible. They have specific policies in place that are different than on the website. Complete bait & switch.Folks working there are great, they're just doing their job.

The office does not look professional and the staff are not trained properly and not very helpful in addressing concerns of customers. Had to wait for a long time as well.Car availability is bad and i got charged with an upgrade fee even though i dint ask for an upgrade. One woman who is the staff over there was definitely very nice and friendly. Overall requires a lot of improvement.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Use ENTERPRISE instead. Their cars are dirty and not maintained. I had a reservation 2 months in advance and they still had me wait for the car to be ready. Even then it was stained and needed an oil change. I wasted 2 HOURS of the time and gas I paid to go to another branch to get it switched. Upon return, the ignorant person at the desk says it actually did not need an oil even though the car says it (so why not reset the computer). I was trying to be nice and not ask for compensation for the hours wasted on trying to get a replacement from another branch but the rude worker charging me for the gas I never used was the last straw. I’d rather pay the extra hundreds for better service at Enterprise.P.s the car also needed an alignment even tho reserved months in advance

I had the most frustrating experience with this car rental office. Despite explicitly telling them I didn't want any extra services, they kept pushing and lying to sell me additional add-ons (toll coverage). The staff's blatant disregard for my request was infuriating. I felt deceived and scammed. Avoid this place at all costs if you value honesty and fair business practices.

They have completely wasted my time today. I was supposed to be picked up and brought to my rental car 2.5 hours and they have no answered the phone. I’ve spoken to customer service multiple times and they haven’t even been able to get ahold of them.

My first time renting through Hertz with our AE Platinum card. After receiving an email with all my enhanced privileges, I find that none are true. No cars, not willing to upgrade us to what they have. Guaranteed upgrade and car on the lot never happened? It’s been an hour and a half and we’re still waiting. So much for feeling like a valued customer.

The employees at Dorchester and other locations in MA and RI were nice. However, due to getting an EV and an EV being an option with any rental option, I will not rent from Hertz again. I was traveling through multiple states and finding a fast charging station was difficult. I was able to swap my rental for a gas car at an airport I was passing, at no charge. That was such a relief!

Stay away, as far away as possible from this location. Horrible customer service, long delays, understaffed, not friendly, cars are dirty and smell like smoke. They also charge you different prices than what is on your reservation/rental agreement, and try and charge you a $500 smoking fee, when all of their cars smell like smoke. We had to change to a different car due to the condition and smell of the first car.

I just had a very bad experience at this location of Hertz this morning - Aug 14 2023 with the staff there and only him was there at that time.I had a reservation with Hertz at 8am but when I came in at 8:15, the first thing he told me is: "I just had a dead electric car." As a customer service, you should first say sorry when your company cannot fulfil the reservation because it can ruin all the plan of customer when your company confirm their booking but when they come you say no car left.However, because I needed a car so I tried to compromise and asked for solution and I accepted to take the nearly dead EV to the nearest charging location although it would delay my whole plan.He got me through the payment process and asked me to put the credit card without telling me the total price so I thought that it was the same price on my reservation. But the invoice came out it was higher, so I tried to ask him to fix it because I used to rent at this location and the other staff could fix it for me. But the man this morning said he just couldnt do that. So I asked him to cancel it, but he told me to call customer service myself to cancel it (?!?!?). It just makes no sense. I told him he should not treat a customer like that, how could you charge a customer when she took no car out of your place. Then he just got crazy and shouted at my face like "you want me to take these fees off, you want me to lose this job?" blah blah ???. No sir. I dont want anything from you. It just makes no sense that you charged me the wrong price from my booking, and you said you couldnt fix it, so I wanted to cancel it but you told me to call customer service to cancel by myself. And I just feel very funny that you shouted at me while I talked to you very politely and calmly. It's not necessary to do that. It just shows that you have no right reason to debate so you got mad. Very terrible customer service. Very bad experience.Just cannot believe a big corporation like Hertz can have this kind of customer service.

Do not recommend this place under ANY circumstances.They did not have the class I rent and staff was trying to offer me an electric car with only 31 miles autonomy. I had to call hertz customer services, and after 1 hour and a half they have me a car.

Staff was great in person, unfortunately they do not answer phone. Same thing happened at another location so might be policy.

Added satellite radio fee I never would've approved. Car did not have a full tank - I returned it with more than I got and still got charged ($26 despite being within a gallon of full). The car inspection sticker had expired over a year earlier. A scam, pure and simple. Avoid at all costs.Update: Hertz's offer to reach out to me directly, seen below, resulted in a time-wasting exchange with a chat bot. I truly wish I could give less than one star.

Sometimes, it's hard to contact them. They provide good service when you do. Provide rentals for auto insurance claims.
