Under staffed. Took ages to get a key. Took ages to return the key. Cars blocking in other cars because they weren’t ready. Staff didn’t know how much the EV would cost in charging. Staff were pleasant and apologised for what was clearly not their fault.

We booked a car weeks in advance and had to wait 2+ hours to get a car. 8 other people were in the same situation, they overbook and their terms and conditions sneakily state that they are allowed to give you a car at any time they wish vs adhering to the time you’ve booked. Avoid at all costs.

Do not book a car here. They are incredibly disorganized and do not actually have enough cars for all the reservations. We made a reservation and had to wait hours before a car was available. And when we went to the desk they were unable to help us modify our existing reservation, told us to step out of line and call the customer service line. Avoid this nightmare if you can.

We picked the car up in Niagara Falls, there was some signs of scratches etc. on the body work . I took pictures and told the office, which they confirmed that they knew and was duly recorded as such. The week went by without anything untoward happening. When it came to take the car in at the Park Plaza branch in Boston, it was with some trepidation after reading some reviews. However the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. I had to go back an hour later as I had left my sunglasses in the car, but to no avail as I was told the car was already on its way to New York. But the girl on the desk took my contact details and said she would try to get them back.The helpful attitude of the staff was excellent, I couldn't fault them.

Got here on time. Had to cancel my reservation it was prepaid and already checked in because the chip on my card was not working. Then waited 2 hours for car to be ready. I would not do this. You save us downtown or go back to the airport.

I can't believe how bad the reviews are. I reluctantly booked a car here because it was hundreds of dollars cheaper than everywhere else. It is kind of a pain to get to from the airport, but when I arrived there was literally no line and they brought me a brand new car with some of the plastic wrap still on.

Client régulier de Hertz, je suis très déçu de cette agence où le personnel n’est pas du tout agréable.
Le pire a été, lorsque j’ai rendu la voiture.
Un employé de l’agence, venu déplacer une voiture m’a agressé verbalement m’exigeant de déplacer ma voiture à la place de celle qu’il était entrain de d'enlever, alors que j’étais rendu à la porte de l’agence.
Ce jeune homme devait en avoir assez de sa journée, pour me demander de faire son boulot à sa place….
Ce type de comportement est parfait pour faire fuir les clients !
De plus la voiture que nous avons eu était dans un état général très moyen, logique compte tenu du nombre de miles au compteur….

The staff mistakenly linked my driver's license to someone else's order and I had to pay twice. Even a phone complaint could only get a refund for my own order, meaning I had to pay half as much for their mistake. The attitude of hertz and the service in this store is really bad. The staff even questioned why I hadn't noticed. Who would know that a receipt with their driver's license number was paid for someone else? By the way, we had been waiting for two hours before picking up the car because they had no available car. RIDICULOUS.

There are several issues. We asked if, we could lease a GPS, which we were dependant on. The only option was an upgrade to another car. The cost was about 800 dollars! We had no other options, so we paid. I will let others judge if the word "blackmail" is relevant.
The person behind the counter was far from helpful. She delivered a sea of information in few sentences. (We are from Denmark, but pretty good at English.) When we asked her to clarify, she seemed close to insulted.
Driving a car with automatic gear is not rocket science, but we are not used to it. The car was packed with electronic devices, but we had to guess the functions during our trip. No introduction at alle.
The car was not fully fueled. 430 miles. When we returned the car in Hertz, Logan Airport we have of course filled the tank to 730 miles. Refund? Apparently not a chance.
The return at Logan Airport was easy.
I would not recommend Hertz, Boston.

Terrible experience. The staff I’ve encountered at Hertz Logan airport will trick you and lie to you. For example, I never agreed to a daily “Toll Charge” fee of $15 per day, yet I found this on my final receipt. I complained to multiple employees and they kept tossing me to other employees including a manager who then ultimately told me to call a company called Platepass for a refund. Platepass’s management then told me Hertz is wrong so the Platepass manager set up a 3-way conference call with Hertz staff. Indeed, it wasn’t Platepass’s responsibility. What an unacceptable culture of deceit, poor customer service, and overall bad business practices. Try to do business the right way, Hertz. This experience was disgusting.

I rent cars frequently and have never had a good experience with Hertz, especially at this location. One of the female staff members at this location is incredibly rude, so I try to use other locations whenever possible. Unfortunately, that was not possible this past weekend. The car my husband and I rented was not cleaned, covered in dog hair with a granola bar and half eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich under the seat. I’m allergic to dogs and my husband has a severe nut allergy. Another another terrible experience here.

I wish I could give a 0 star rating for this location. The staffs running this location is extremely inefficient and lacking expertise. I really want to finger pointing the two lady who speaks Portuguese who keeps chatting with others while there is a long waiting line for other customers. This is very rude for others who still are still waiting for the line. Customers keep coming back and forth to break into the line for vehicle problems. In summary, try your best to avoid this location.

The car was really dirty! Also, they overcharged me for a late return fee even though I returned the car in the same day!! The guy at the counter put the return time at the same day after only 2,5 hours!!
