I moved to Harbor Point after ignoring the reviews I read online with my fiancé and I regret it. We stupidly signed a lease for a one bedroom apartment with hardwood floors but weren't allowed to see the unit until the day we moved in, which I agreed to thinking it was a Covid restriction, but quickly found out it was a bait and switch tactic. Upon move in, we found out we had been lied to by the leasing office and instead were given a fully carpeted unit after explaining several times why we did not want carpet. Upon complaining to management, we were told the unit was never going to have hardwood and we had to suck it up. A week after moving in we noticed mold spores growing in our bathroom wall through the paint- clearly something that had been painted over prior to us moving in. It took several attempts of calling maintenance and reporting this to management before it was rectified, at which point the mold had grown into a foot long patch. It ended up being so bad that they had to remove half of our bathroom wall to fix, which they left wide open for several days. And because there is no ventilation in the bathrooms of these buildings, the mold is bound to come back as it was also beginning to grow in our shower by the time we vacated. Over the next two years here (which we only stayed because we couldn't afford first/last/security elsewhere while wedding planning) we had countless issues with neighbors smoking in the buildings and management doing nothing about it, countless days and nights ruined by the fire alarm being set off at ungodly hours from said smoking and other issues by repeat offenders, repeated issues with the elevator and laundry in the building not working, our physical health overall declining due to the poor ventilation and carpet in the buildings, and overall negligence from the management company. We eventually decided to move out because we couldn't handle it anymore. They increased our rent from $1850 in 2021 to $1993 for 2022 to $2154 for 2023. Not including the additional pet rent they charge despite being 'pet friendly'. Upon moving out we found our apartment was listed for $2400+, so if you're reading this please use this as a cautionary tale on why you should NOT pay that. And on top of all of this, upon moving out, Harbor Point has claimed that our apartment carpet - which we were never told we were going to have - needs to be replaced so we cannot get our full security deposit back. And when trying to contact them to find out the details of this issue I was repeatedly called the wrong name, and never was given a clear answer on what was wrong. Just a blurry photo taken by a maintenance man without any effort on his behalf to clean the carpet before replacing it (which I know because the vacuum marks from me cleaning were visible in the photos) Really unsure what the pet rent is for if the $840 we gave them over the years for said rent couldn't cover the fake damage to the carpet Photos of mold and carpet upon move out for reference!

I live here at harbor point with my girlfriend and I have my car here every now and then, but every time i have to buy a parking pass which I do every single time. For some apparent reason today my car was towed and i have a parking pass on this. I am a full time student and work full time. I cannot be dealing with this goddamn idiocy from these people. The old white guy at the gate confronts me every time i come in with my car and says he is gonna get it towed. Even though i buy a pass from them every time i bring my car. I am not on the lease but my girlfriend is and I cannot acquire a parking pass because of it, so i need to buy the 5$ pass every time i come. WHICH I HAVE BEEN DOING AND EVEN GETTING NEW ONES IF I HAVE TO SINCE THE DAY PASSES. SO IF I AM DOING THIS, WHY DOES MY CAR GET F-ing TOWED??? I want to talk to whoever can help me with this situation, also the customer service here is incredibly NOT HELPFUL. The owners don't care for your own well being.

I have been a resident here for over a year and every time I use the pool the lifegaurds are so rude. Long haired men can swim but the second a women with long hair gets in the pool they run over and force to put it up before allowing to swim. I have overheard them talking about guests multiple times and every time I am there they stare at me laughing. I feel uncomfortable half the time with them there.

Beware.... Only 2 weeks ago a female was shot 250 ft from my windows. This was an hour after I called security and told them there was a large crowd of people drinking and partying in the parking lot. This place is not as it appears. I have far too many complaints to list! Please think twice before moving your college kids here. This place is not safe. I am sorry I moved here and will be moving as soon as my lease is up. If you have questions regarding this place, please ask and I will tell you the truth.

Fun classes over the week free for residents. Enough equipments for regular workout. I love the ocean views while running on the treadmill or trying ellipticals.

Harbor Point is the best thing to happen to my health! I’ve been a member here for 2 1/2 years. My coaches have helped me get stronger, increase my endurance, and train me through pregnancy and post-baby. The trainers are all extremely helpful, and fun to work with. I’m not as strong as most people in the gym, but I’ve never felt intimidated. Everyone is there is get a good workout in and enjoy the community. Harbor Point is the place to be!

DO NOT MOVE HERE. Lived here for 3 years, paying rent as a full-time student. Every single year, rent increased SIGNIFICANTLY for no reason clearly identified. Leasing office is unknowledgeable and will do anything they can to screw you the best they can. The very first year I moved in, I inquired about the excessive fees included with just the application process - the response? "Well we can no longer legally apply a broker's fee so we made it work elsewhere." Pretty brazen but dealt with it because we were 18 and in need of housing. Our final year, the leasing office screwed our apartments tenants' financials for years to come after making a detrimental "mistake" that was attributed to "how they're so busy in August." Yet STILL, they blamed us for non-payment of rent when they were at fault for the mistake. Management was even worse. Horribly vindictive and spiteful. We were legitimately told by the director of the leasing office how the property manager, Heidi Fallon (steer clear of this woman) "did not like us personally" and, therefore, was looking for whatever she could to send us a notice or fee for (i.e. potted plant out front was to be removed because it was dying, a shoe on OUR front step resulted in a charge). I went to court to fight these abhorrently unacceptable living conditions. As I was leaving, the security guard at the Boston housing court pointed out how he was shocked that HP had only dealt with the third person there that day (me) when usually there are about 15-20 BEING EVICTED DAILY. This should say enough about how much they care about residents.Beautiful location, great staff at the HP market, and a good area for students BUT everything else is ridiculous. Just wanted to add on as well that our experience living here was overall subpar. There were mice in our first apartment that were able to get in through a hole under our stove which was never resolved & a myriad of plumbing issues. I'd also be wary of the security guards, they're VERY creepy & even tried to pick up some of my friends who were coming visit me and HAD to get a pass at the gate. One stopped me multiple times as I walked to school telling me I wasn't allowed to be here because he didn't "recognize me" and I had to move my car or he'd tow it. Even after clarifying the first time, mistake no big deal, he stopped me that same year two more times - irksome and a bit harassing. My final year, I had security guards ENTER my apartment twice when I was not home for "safety" reasons. They claimed doors were open when they weren't. This is terrifying for a young woman in Boston. Save yourself the horror from this place and go elsewhere. Spend the extra $100 at that other apartment complex. This place should not be running the way it is.
