Please people if you are considering this hotel think again. The homeless and drug addicts are all over the area. Boston has identified the area as unsafe. I was recently there for business and started to exit out of the rear door of the hotel to be approached by two men asking for my phone and shoes. This was not what I expected on my business trip. Fortunately I didn’t exit the door and quickly closed the door and returned to my room, packed and went to another hotel that was safe. While the hotel and staff were great, the area is very dangerous and more dangerous at night. Please be very careful and consider another location for your safety and the safety of your family.
Noteworthy details: This hotel is located in a very unsafe area of Boston

Good clean Hampton Inn that unfortunately is in a bit of a dodgy area. Drug use and panhandling on nearby streets. But felt safe in the hotel. Car parking across the street in a multistorey parking lot. Standard Hampton breakfast but you need to be observant to find the pancake station

This hotel is in a very run down part of town with a 24 hr police presence everywhere to keep the peace. In the few minutes we spent sitting out front debating if we wanted to keep our reservation or forfeit the money we had paid, there was as loud physical and verbal altercation between police and some locals just hanging about. We were approached for handouts and amazed at how unsafe the whole situation felt. The final straw was the sour oder of urine in the lobby. We left. We lost $500 and I have no regrets. The Hotel is a mess, the street situation is a mess and unsafe. The place should shut down.

Room was clean, the shower was a challenge. Breakfast was ok. In order for light and outlets to work you had to make sure the master switch was on. Lots of homeless in the area and sirens all night long.

Highly Not Recommended for business or personal trips.
Avoid if possible, unless you are a super heavy sleeper or just don't like to sleep and/or if you rather have quantity over (barely acceptable) quality breakfast.
The worst thing is that there is lots of homeless near the hotel and lots of police. At night (after 12 AM), either the police cars will make lots of loud noise to get the homeless to move, or you will hear some of the homeless shouting and screaming randomly.
The next worst thing, is that the room's windows are not fully (or even decently) sound proofed (even on the 6th floor). This caused us to keep on waking up at night and feeling tiered the next day.
I should add that they did offer lots of different breakfasts, and they had coffee 24h (which I liked).
Rooms: The rooms feel dirty, although spacious. The colors of the our room made us feel that it's very old.
Safety: I don't feel safe going out and walk after 9pm due to homeless gatherings.
Noteworthy details: Lots of police noise surrounding the hotel with bad sound proofing windows (or maybe the noise to too loud) at midnight.

The hotel is clean and the staff friendly, but the neighborhood has what appears to be an active drug recovery clinic one street over with sidewalks permanently painted with sayings such as “Nice people use drugs” and “Trauma is the starter drug.” A walk 3 blocks to the FedEx Office as the sun was setting included two people actively using needles and groups of people panhandling, as well as a homeless encampment across the street. The nearby emergency room brought a lot of sirens, which don’t bother me but could disrupt sleeping. Most of the people in the hotel appear to be staying there for medical treatment at the facility one door down, so I expect this hotel isn’t catering to tourists or business travelers.

Came for one night to see a show at the TD Garden. They charge $25 to park in the garage when you’re paying over $300 to stay there for one night, Upon arrival we were surprised to see many homeless and much drug activity surrounding the property. Garbage was everywhere! Right away I did not feel safe walking so we took an Uber. If you are looking for sleep, don’t come here! The whole night was police sirens trying to move the homeless. There were people talking loudly and singing at 3-4 in the morning. Not worth your money!
Nearby activities: Very noisy

Do not stay here if you value your sleep. I am writing this review from the room at 1:30 am unable to sleep due to the constant police sirens, the block this hotel is on is riddled with homeless and drug abuse. Do not bring your family to this hotel not a good environment at all. I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking

You can hear all the cars outside and the ambulance, police sirens it's right next to hospital and a drug rehab where a bunch of homeless drug addicts hang out behind the hotel screaming outside late at night. The shower was wall was cracked, and the bath fixtures are outdated. The tv was pixilated and can not stream from the phone. AC made loud noises. The desk chair had a stain and we did not get any bottle waters. The only good thing was the free breakfast from 6am to 10am and the spanish restaurant downstairs

Very mixed thoughts on this hotel. I had to book it for an event at the convention center as nothing closer was available for less than maybe $900/night or with a shared bathroom. I had no idea that the location isn't so great. The nickname I later heard was "methadone mile." There are homeless people visible from the hotel, but it's not like they are right outside your window or near the entrance. It's just not a walkable area, though.
Pros:
Besides the homeless/safety situation, it wasn't a bad location. I took a Lyft to the convention center every day. Prices ranged from $12-35 plus tip or so, based on the time of day and how long I wanted to wait. There is definitely some traffic, but I could usually get there in 15-20 minutes. I swear each Lyft driver took a different route, lol. I would usually book my ride for the longest wait and then have breakfast.
Breakfast is pretty good and included. I only had it two days, and it was some sort of egg dish, a sausage/meat, and a potato item. Again, nothing fancy but decent food and coffee.
Good service - no issues with any staff. There is also security, so I never felt any concern for my safety even though I had concerns before I checked in based on other reviews.
Cons:
The room is meh. Things were in need of repair. Nothing too major that prevented my use of anything, but just things falling apart a little. There is NO SAFE in the room. The lighting in the bathroom is TERRIBLE for putting on makeup but decent counter space.
Due to the location, there are sometimes sirens going. And sometimes in the middle of the night. I ran the fan on the A/C unit on high to try and block out the exterior sounds.
The price for the hotel was INSANE, but I am guessing they jacked the prices way up for the event that was happening. I think I paid about $500/night - which is crazy as I was at the Wynn in Vegas right after that and paid less than that for a MUCH better room/experience.
This hotel wouldn't be my first choice, and it wouldn't be my last. It could definitely use with some updates - or just fix the broken stuff.
Walkability: NOT walkable at all.
Food and drinks: The included breakfast was nothing fancy but decent/good.

This hotel is in a very bad part of town. EVERY Uber driver warned me not to walk around in the neighborhood. When locals heard where I was staying, they all looked aghast. It’s a bad neighborhood.
That said, the rooms are large and everything is clean and comfortable. It’s too bad about the location.

The staff is awesome, they go above and beyond! The location is not the greatest, all day and night you hear sirens as the hospital is across the street; and it’s also surrounded by junkies. Breakfast is really good and the rooms are clean and smell good.

Had a great experience with all the staff. Jonathan, the shuttle driver, was super nice and helped me get around town. As many others have posted, the situation in the surrounding area is unfortunate. I woke up to sirens from ambulances or police multiple times.
