When the place is open, they're great! He always has what I want and will give me a cold fresh bottle of wine instead of one off the shelf. But DUDE is rarely ever open!!! Being new to Boston is hard, but not knowing if you're going to be able to have a glass of wine before bed (because it's 0800 and nothing else is open that serves alcohol-don't judge) is almost panic mode. Overall, a consistent schedule is needed.

Convenient location right at Forest Hills Station and I'm glad all the new construction didn't destroy his foot traffic. I haven't been stopping there on the way home as much as I used to, but the owner Jim always engages in a pleasant conversation as part of the visit.

Just moved to the area went to buy a coke. When I opened the coke the seal was not sealed properly . (I didn’t even have a sip of the coke)The owner thought I was trying to rip him off when I asked for another one . He was very rude and made it like it was my fault for opening the bottle in his store. Been in law enforcement for a number of years never had to get to in a verbal fight with a store owner in my life till tonight . Will never go back.

The folks at Forest Hills Liquors are like family. Family run and old school tracks playing are a welcome feeling I get when I walk in after a long day at work.
