Amazing gym, it has a lot of equipment, the staff is very friendly, if you go after 7 it gets empty, I prefer around that time, for a better workout.

I workout all over the city but Republic Fitness is by far my favorite. The energy that comes from the members is motivating and the staff is SO friendly. They have everything I need from 3 squat racks, turf for sled pushes to classes that kick my butt.

I have been a member for 2.5+ years and I cannot say enough positive things about this fitness club. I have belonged to multiple gyms in the past including, LA Fitness, Gold's Gym, Equinox, New Balance Fitness Club and a handful of local gyms and Republic Fitness is still my favorite gym. Pros- Not too crowded (especially on weekends) Olympic platforms Plentiful dumbbells/barbells/bands Turf area TRX bands Friendly Staff CLEAN Facilities Fun and positive vibe I can't speak to the classes as I never took part in one, but the gym itself is a very comfortable and positive place to be. There is no judgment or self-absorption in the members or staff of this gym. Everyone is just here to workout and enjoy the environment. The staff and management have been fantastic, nothing short of perfect. They are warm and friendly. The front desk attendants are always attentive and able to help out in any way. The maintenance staff keeps the locker rooms and gym itself sparkling clean - it is always so clean which is one of the biggest things for me in gym selection. I don't write YELP reviews but since the good people at Republic Fitness have delivered such an enjoyable and fun workout atmosphere for me, this was the least I could do. I personally enjoy this gym much more than the down-the-street Equinox.

So convenient. Chic without the smoke and mirrors of Equinox. Super hard working people both in and out of the gym. The trainers are dedicated and constantly push. Clean, high end products, friendly staff.

Tuesdays with Tara! GF Tabata is an intense, kick-ass 30 minutes class. When I first signed up I was a bit wary that it's so short- how can I get a good workout? Halfway through the class I understood and couldn't wait til the 30 mins was up. There lots of cardio and jumping involved. No weights involved. The only thing we used was the "steps" thing. I also did the GF Body pump class with alex, if you are new you will probably get lost while working out because it's kind of quick, but if you are in the second row you can see what everyone else around you is doing! We used weights in this class and it was my first time doing a bar type of weight lifting. Will go to a few more of these so I can get a hang of it! The gym itself is so clean, and the equipment is very nice. It wasn't packed when I came and I appreciate that. Nothing is more stressful than not being able to find a spot to lift weights, or an empty machine. The stretching area unfortunately was taken up by 2 people who like never left so I just stretched by the weights. There are showers and lockers for use, even a steamer to steam your clothes! Hit or miss with the front desk, the first couple of times I came the front desk was really nice, the last time I went they were kinda "BLEH" one didn't acknowledge me just ignored me and the other quickly checked me in with a kind of "go away" attitude.

I really love this gym. It is convenient, near my job and although it's not a big space everything you really need for a good workout is available. I tried a few of the short fitness classes which were good. I honestly think they cater to the busy professionals in the area with their class schedules and offerings (i highly appreciate this fact). The locker rooms were always clean and they don't require a lock which is a benefit for those who frequently forget theirs. My only negative point on this gym is the lack of responsiveness from the staff. I emailed a few times regarding an issue I needed their help solving and got no response which in this day and age is like receiving a text and ignoring it (WE ALL HATE THIS!). Otherwise, the people I personally interacted with FACE TO FACE (because to my point not really responsive otherwise) were all very pleasant including the personal trainers and front desk employees. P.S. I am still waiting to get that issue resolved or at least an update a WHOLE WEEK LATER. Will update soon as I get an answer. Update: I received an update to my question and conclude that my issue was resolved.

I really like this gym. The staff is friendly, everything is clean. I took one star off because of the endless phone calls to sign you up, but you can as well do yourself a favor and sign up=)

Great place to work out. Clean facility, nice staff, great classes and trainers. Would recommend to anyone who lives or works downtown

This gym is AWESOME! The people are so friendly, the trainers are helpful, and the people who managed my account were amazing. I never had an issue at all with this gym, and I would recommend it to anyone. The best part is that it's never super packed. I go at peak hours after work, and I've never had an issue with finding a place to work out (using the racks, the turf area, anywhere!). The classes are high energy and really fun too. I tried almost all of them, and I enjoyed them all! The locker rooms are beautiful, and the gym itself is just really well-kept. If you work or live in Boston, it's absolutely perfect!

The friendly staff add to the quality workout experience. I did a weights class at lunch and left sore but impressed with the instruction. Spinning was also intense but that's great in my book. Great environment and nice, [relatively] large locker room with showers and a steam room/sauna. For the pretty low cost and quality of the equipment and the convenience of its location I'd highly recommend it.

Great gym, on the small side but perfect for a lunch/afterwork workout and well equipped. Even during the busy lunch hour, I never waited for a treadmill or elliptical. Nice staff who will bend over backwards to help you. Ken is a great guy. Besides the staff, the biggest advantage it has over all the office-worker friendly gyms in the downtown-waterfront the thought that went into the locker rooms: enough showers, lockers, room to hang clothes, irons, etc to come in before work, during lunch, between meetings, or whenever you can squeeze in a workout and you will still have time to shower, look okay, & get back to work. The location is great; I loved being able to go in for a quick workout before meeting friends for dinner. The sauna is a big plus, too!

I have been bound to various gyms for years. All have been super-chain monsters, eating away at my wallet and morality, one day at a time. Until a faithful day when I finally listened to a co-worked and went to check out Fitness International. Its not a huge gym, but has plenty of equipment. The owner and the employees are friendly and helpful. The changing rooms are exceptionally clean and provide ample space. There is a great variety of fitness classes offered daily. I have never had such a positive experience belonging to a gym.

What a great place to workout and deff a hidden gem of financial. Finding the place was hard enough, but when your a member its like your own private workout facility. Its quiet, clean and has all the machines you could need. Ken the owner showed me around and was a pleasure to speak with about the machines and great perks of the club. The bathrooms are really key when joining a gym so having towel service, clean showers with shampoo/soap and a steam room/ sauna room is a rare perk. I've been a member of both planet fitness ($10/month) and Equinox (150+ /month) and this brings the best of both. I'm really happy to have joined the gym esp with my discounted corporate rate.

This is a hidden gem in the financial district and am quite lucky to be working in the same building. The gym is just perfect for a mid day workout. The instructors are quite informative and just awesome. It has a very comfortable layout and is not too intimidating for beginners.
