This gym doesnt take itself seriously and is not inclusive. They dont have shower caps. I dont pay $260 a month for a luxury gym to be discriminatory towards textured hair. They used to have it but deem their curly hair customers as less important.

Add a cold plunge and infarded sauna..Some reason the Boston locations get away with not having these.

The guy at the reception is very friendly. The gym is clean, the equipment is good, the locker rooms are good and there is an amazing view from the back room. If you are not a member of the gym and you want to train for one day (day pass), be prepared because in the end it is only a few hours of training and it will cost you dearly.

I never write reviews, but today was my last straw.I have been a member of this specific gym since 2022. It used to be an amazing gym, and I was ready to pay any price for it. Fast forward to 2024, and it went downhill to the point of no return. I even canceled my membership for four months in 2023, but they came back to me with an offer, and I thought to give them a second chance. That was my biggest mistake.1. I’ve had multiple issues with them charging me extra and giving me misleading information about charges. They never take accountability for their actions. It’s quite the opposite. The management tells you a million reasons why you never got the money in the first place. I had to request for my credits to be applied to my account twice, and it took them two months to do it.2. Extremely rude and ignorant managers. I can say that Jack Massari was always the only one who went back and forth to make my experience great. Can't say the same thing about others.3. Don’t forget about the 12-month obligation. I knew about it and was prepared for it. Management now uses it as an excuse to charge you the full price when you freeze the membership. So you freeze your membership, and they still charge you the full price for the frozen month. They then say you'll get your money back by the 13th month (as credits). Why would I freeze it in the first place? It is supposed to be a premium gym, but the way they do business is not better than any other gym in the area. I would say even worse.4. Shower gels, shampoos, and cleansers - all diluted with water. To the point where all of those products are unusable. Even if I wanted to use it, I would never be able to. If you can't afford it, it would be better to put the most basic shampoo in the bottle. But to put 30% shampoo and 70% water seems like a mockery for the price we pay.5. I wanted to book a one-on-one Pilates class, and their trainer came back to me with available slots. The funny part is that she sent those dates to me a month after I requested the session. Then the day I was supposed to have my session (a month later), she sent me an email saying she double booked and asked me to reschedule. It happens, but is it professional when it took two months to schedule it in the first place?6. All basic things need to be replaced. I started bringing towels with me from home, because their towels looked like someone mopped the floor with them. Hair dryers are almost non existent, as it’s going to take you an hour to dry your hair with it.The only good thing I can say about Equinox Seaport is its gym staff. Every single trainer is amazing and extremely professional. Pilates class with Olivia is unbeatable and the only thing that keeps me there.

Best location next to Boston commons! Although the trainers are a huge pain point at this location- ironically at this location they are the ones that lack gym etiquette rather than the usual case of fellow members. At this location I've had several instances of trainers taking something I'm actively using, not wiping down equipment after use, and not re racking weights with their clients. There is also way too many of them at any given time, and will call/text/email about scheduling a meeting so so often- I'm a night shift nurse and was woke. Up so many times because they called twice in a row and got through dnd. I've asked so many times politely for it to stop, just all around ruins the "luxury" gym experience and something I would expect to put you with at an LA fitness not equinox.

Amazing gym, great trainers, great maintenance staff BUT the management at this location is letting this place deteriorate. Mens locker rooms smell bad due to some sort of plumbing issue in the showers. This is not something that a maintenance worker can just spray something on, something needs to be fixed. Also basic things just need to be replaced...soap dispensers, hair dryers, towels. Some of the towels look like they were stolen from an animal shelter. Hair dryers are from a mid-90's motel. Simple fix's will bring this place back to 5 stars

I don’t see how this has over 4 stars. For the price you pay, I do not see how anyone can justify for what you get at this location. This gym is SO SMALL. It’s 1 floor-and the trainers take up ridiculous amounts of space during individual sessions. For example, they will have people take up a machine on one end of the gym, to go to a squat rack on the other end of the gym, to go to a bench. if you're using what looks like free bench-or squat rack, they will ask you to move because they are in the middle of a session. The etiquette of some members makes me question the gyms standards. I have nothing against weight dropping, but why are people not doing it in the designated areas. there are padded areas for a reason, why are power lifters dropping weights next to the cable pull downs.. with trainers?!There is no pool. No hot tub. There are only 2 studio classes going at a time (space is limited so you’re almost always waitlisted). The locker room is so crowded I’ve had to wait in a pretty long line for the shower during peak hours and you’re basically changing on top of others. If you can, go to any other equinox except this one.

Tried cancelling my membership back in August. Equinox continued to charge me the monthly fee for the next 4 months. Prime example of bad management. Keep your money away from this place.

The facilities and service here are wonderful and clean. Shout out to Manny working the front desk - a friendly face to see no matter who you are and efficient in his support.

This location is always dirty. The men’s showers have mold and mildew. $225 per month is too much for a dirty gym.

Small but well equipped gym. The parking, however, is a disaster. You only get 2 1/4 hours free. I went 8 minutes over and was charged $42.00.

Clean, spacious and lots of equipment. I haven’t found the gym to by crowded once. Switched from Lifetime and not looking back.

It feels like going to a spa every day --- truly. I joined for the amenities like a steam shower to be honest, then ended up being enticed by the actual gym. It's always clean. You get some free sessions with incredible trainers when you join (and they don't push you to purchase at the end of the session). It's a delight to go. The employees are always nice greeting you at the door. I lost something today in the locker room and went back at the end of the day -- it was found and waiting for me. I really love this gym!

One of the worst gym experiences of my life, ironic for a gym with claims of a premium experience. When I signed up in June, I informed the trainer that I am a student and only in Boston for 2 months. He told me that this wasn't a problem at all and we proceeded with the registration. When it came time for me to leave, I emailed 2 weeks in advance to cancel my membership. This time I was told I would need to provide concrete evidence of relocation and needed to give 45 days notice so I will be charged for the subsequent month even though I won't be here. The initial trainer never brought these deceitful police's to my attention and I believe I was purposely misled into signing a 1 year contract with them. 45 days is just insane. If I was to follow the 45 days notice, I would've needed to submit my cancellation request a week into my membership. What an absolute joke. The manager also did not handle the situation with any care at all. Furthermore, I had to go through 3 trainers to schedule an equifit. The first 2 reached out and when I expressed my interest they just ghosted me. The equipment is also extremely mediocre. My local gym back home which costs $30 a month has very similar equipment. I was excepting much more for the price. For a gym that costs about $210 a month, this is one of the worst experiences you can get. My friend was going to sign up and I told him about my experiences and suggested he go elsewhere. I suggest you do too. This was my first and last time at any equinox.

This location allows men to inappropriately touch and harass women. They believe that it is okay as long as it doesn’t happen More than a few times. They do nothing to remedy these problems. The gym also becomes over crowded and nearly unusable to peak times due to lack of equipment. Frequently the locker rooms are disasters, attendants are no where to be seen. Frequently there is no soap and no towels. Between the unwelcoming environment, lack of equipment, and overall uncleanliness it is not worth the money. Lifetime offers much better value and a safer environment.
