Been banking here for 25 years, and I can't recall ever having a bad experience. I remember when the manager (Anthony?) ran down a bank robber.... A real neighborhood bank, and it still has that feel.I rarely have need to go in any more, but I'll probably always have accounts here.

Notary services are walk in friendly/ no appointment needed but you have to Call everyday to see if a notary is in and I’ve called 10 -15 times and they keep saying a notary isn’t coming in today call tomorrow? Wouldn’t that call for some type of schedule? Completely unreliable.

Online banking will work 13% of the time. This is a small, clueless and incompetent business. Stick with the big banks. This one has not ready for prime time.

I can't say enough great things about East Boston Savings Bank.! My sister suffered a stroke she almost did not make it through, she has been handicapped since she was born due to a spinal virus at birth. Two months ago she had to be put into a full care nursing facility in Dorchester. For the last years East Boston Saving Bank has been so nice to here, even with her speech impediments and problems walking they have been patient with her slowness at the teller windows as they helped her keep watch over her few dollars... she never used checking, she always used money orders to pay her bills. She always simply used a passbook savings .. how wonderful this branch has been to my sister. She can no longer get around without assistance... I am her only living relative. I called the bank knowing that she needed someway to handle her bills. The branch manager Suzanne Spargo after hearing my sister's story got in touch with me and handled everything, the paperwork, the set of of a joint account so that, even though I was thousands of miles away I could at least manage my sisters bills and relieve her of bill paying worry. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms. Spargo. She did so much above and beyond to make sure my sister could worry just a little less. In today's world we don't see this enormous kindness from a bank. But, I am feeling EBSB is more than a bank it is community and neighbors helping neighbors. Thank you Ms.Spargo and EBSB.

I walk into this New neighborhood bank on a Friday afternoon to get change for a $20. Apparently I need to open an account with them to do this. I say, I've been here many times before (previous bank) and cut off almost mid sentence with a second, “Open an account.â€... yikes. Since when can't you get change at a bank?! So I walk down to our other local bank, a credit union and they cheerfully change my $20. Why would one ever open an account with a place that turns away their neighbors?!

The people Meetinghouse are truly a breath of fresh air. They are incredibly dedicated, with a unique one on one experience that is rare in today's banking climate. They are rivaled by no bank that I have seen.
