Staying at a expensive hotel means the mini bar is really expensive. Also, on Sunday morning before Micky D's opens, there is no place to get something to eat Downtown. So to get an inexpensive bottle of wine (Pinot Grigio for $8.99) and some breakfast or evening snacks, City Convenience is the perfect place to go. Check their hours and plan the timing of your visit. Phone # (617) 227-7989

Convenient enough place, but the beer tastes like they turn the fridges off at night

Non of the items are prices properly. The cashier or the owner makes-up prices on the spot.

Disgraceful.....not only was the counter help unfriendly, but picking his nose before handling my soda AND RIPPED ME OFF IN MY CHANGE!!! I will NEVER return here although now living a few yards away, and I hope you don't either!!!

Lots of dry goods and sundries. Good candy and ice cream selection. Also has milk, eggs, some other refridgerated and frozen food, premade sandwiches and some simple produce. Oh, and lots of wine. Nothing fancy or terribly fresh.

This is now owned by a young Richdale franchisee who is embracing the neighborhood and welcoming suggestions. Staff and management are great.

Location is convenient but quality is poor. No prices clearly marked. Also this place constantly and consistently freezer burns ice cream like they are trying to do it on purpose.

I'll come here for a snack when I don't feel like venturing too far from my office. I can get my staples: fruit, popcorn, yogurt, hummus, etc. It's expensive, but that's too be expected given the location. Every employee I have encountered has been pleasant and they accept cards without enforcing an obnoxious minimum purchase which I appreciate.

Great grocery store in terms of variety, and staff will literally take costumers suggestions. The cashiers are very friendly and helpful with no doubt. If you need any help, ask for Amir and he would help you right away.

Dunno what's going on here. Has City Convenience been bought out? Signage outside labels it as such, but cash register inside is labelled some other company. Regardless, as a resident of the neighborhood, I am deeply disappointed in how far this place has fallen in the past few months. The food selection is now nothing much above a 7/11, prices have risen, magazines are no longer sold, and the staff seems to loaf outside if the store is empty of customers. Additionally posted hours seem whimsical at best. And yesterday at about noon, the store was closed with a sign reading, "Back in 5 minutes." I gave up waiting after 20. Shoddy, shoddy, shoddy. The neighborhood deserves better. I shall be shopping elsewhere. One star only because I'm forced to. -5 in truth.

Many products in this shop have no price clearly displayed. Just code bar (not really useful...). I bought some food (4$)... No price on the packet... Well.... Went later to the shop....and see the same packet to 2.15$.... Very surprising... I'll do not add more...

Good selection, a bit pricey but very convenient in terms of location and opening hours.
