I understand that BOA is worse, but Citizens Bank is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. Horrible customer service, terrible interest rates and I can't tell you how many times I've been told they don't have enough cash in stock to allow more than $5000 withdrawals. Ha, a bank with no cash! But it's their internet banking that takes the cake. Consistently just doesn't work and that's the case for multiple browsers and devices so one has to call customer "service" and waste hours on hold to speak to someone in Pakistan who won't be able to fix the problem. Citizens Bank SUCKS!

I've been a customer here for a little over a year now, and I've always gotten really great service. Whether I have questions, need to do business or have someone notarize documents, they're always very, very helpful and kind. I always bring my dog and they love when I do - and they give him treats ;) overall I am very happy with this branch!

Not very happy with the service at this branch! Loan people are not helpful and they do not know how to talk to customers! The only reason we go to this bank is because my husband works a few doors down as takes money out from the ATM. That's it! The loan officers have to be called so many times to get an answer! What if the roles were reversed , I'm sure they would be as I am as a senior citizen! All the good people left! Where did they go? Maybe a different bank!! The other banks in West Roxbury are no better! Check out Capital One the interest is better!

My charges are not itemized for me to identify what money was spent on& my balance went into overdraft, when I was told it could never do that. I opened this specific bank account with Citizens bank, because I never want to deal with overdraft problems. I have no idea, based on the itemized bill, what I am even being charged for. Then, when I asked to speak to a manager who could better help me, I was told: "NO!" I have to travel to a different location to deal with the dishonest debits on my account-Chestnut Hill, MA branch (02467).

Citizens is a bit cumbersome. But they do have money. Watch out for using home equity loans to buy a new home.

My loan originator was not very professional throughout the process. He appeared to be very inexperienced and not having a sensitivity for customer service. To start there was a miscommunication by him to me at the beginning of the process; he gave me the impression I was getting an income property equity loan. Only halfway through the process did I find out it was a home equity loan. This scared me because it made me think I could not go through with the loan because it could negatively affect another primary residence loan I was applying for. Second issue was he called me on a Wednesday before the HELOC closing was scheduled, he asked me some questions (related to Payoffs required) that made it appear there may be an issue with the loan closing and he said he would contact me on Thursday to clear everything up. He never called me back or emailed me on Thursday and let the weekend come and go without resolving the issues he raised on Wednesday. This left me uncertain and concerned about the process. Third issue I contacted him about one of the payoff checks that was mailed out via FedEx. I had not received it. He said he would find out and call me back. He did not call me back and never told me where the check went. I called him back at the branch, only to find he had left for the day. He did not even give me a call back before he left for the day to allay my concerns. I had to figure out the check issue on my own, and I found out it was mailed directly to the creditor.

The reason I gave this branch a 2 stars and not 1, is thanks to the one associate who is truly servicing the clients, Sidney Silva. I've been working with Citizens Bank in general for years now, and always encountered nothing but a great service. The specific bank on VFW Parkway, I liked the best since it was the most convenient location to my residence. It looks like the entire staff of the bank changes since I didn't recognize any of the familiar, friendly faces I had business with for years. The 3 other associates, aside of Sidney, that I met and had business with in my 4 most recent visit to the branch were unprofessional, disrespectful, don't understand the value of customer service and definitely need to be retrained. I always say it starts with the manager who should be leading by example. Ms. Amanda is uregand, dismissive and disrespectful and it always trickles down. Again my perception is my reality, but in my most recent visit I was already fed up with the repeating mistakes, without an appropriate apology or concern for my time. Ms. Amanda acting like miss Universe conversing with her associates while the Miss Boston (the customer) is left to wait.. Just an analogy to describe the way I felt walking in to this branch since the change of the staff. Miss Silva is the exception to the other 3 associates, and in my opinion you need more professional, focused associates like her. I hope it helps anybody in choosing what branch to visit, or who to work with.

I went to the VFW branch of Citizens to withdraw some money from a matured CD and was told there was no one available who was "qualified" to make this transaction for me. How ridiculous! I now have to go to a different branch (or branches) to see if I can find a qualified person who can help me with the transaction before the 10 day grace period expires and the CD renews. Dealing with this bank is no pleasure. The last time I went, a "banker" tried to badger me into buying an annuity I did not want. Since then I've closed three of the four accounts I held at Citizens.

I have been a Citizens Bank customer for over 16 years, and the VFW branch has been my primary bank for 7 years. I have received nothing short of excellent service each and every time I have been to this branch for my accounts. The Branch Manager, Adela, is responsive, professional, courteous and efficient, and has helped me on numerous occasions. The tellers are always efficient and friendly, without fail. I could not speak more highly of this branch and Citizens Bank. Thank you, Adela and the VFW team!

Long waits, unhelpful and unknowing employees. Went three times to get my debit VISA which should arrive after 7-10 work days. 2 months later I still don't have my card even though it has be reordered 2 times.
