Literally the worst bank I've ever dealt with. They charge fees every month for the most asinine things. I've had to call every month since opening my account to have the $5 fee on my savings account reversed despite having over the required daily average balance to avoid fees. What's the use of having a savings account if you're getting charged for it? The last straw for me was spending 2+ hours on hold trying to get overdraft fees reversed. These fees were charged despite me making a same day deposit that fully covered the overdraft and more. At the end of the 2 hours on hold their representative simply hung up on me because she was tired of waiting on hold for a supervisor. Avoid this institution at all costs

Dreadful online banking process. Waited almost 30 minutes to get a question answered. Finally abandoned the call. They are implementing a new online banking process and it has been an absolute disaster. The application is not at all intuitive; the "help" staff are basically clueless. There was little meaningful customer communication prior to the implementation - mostly of the hype type. What a mess!

I had my wallet stolen at the bus terminal on my way to Boston. After notifying Citizens and Concord Coach, I needed to withdraw money from my account for my stay in Boston in order to eat and stay my time there. However, I did not have my debit card, nor did I have a photo identification. I came to this branch with my social security number, my login information for my University Student ID page (That has a photo ID, confirms my birth-date and social security number!) And was open to answer any and all questions they may have- whether it be about my recent transactions or about my personal information. They said that they could not do it, but they could withdraw $20 to get me by. To get me by!? In Boston, for a week. I don't think so. I kindly thanked them and went down the street to the next branch, that were sympathetic and happy to help me. Very unimpressed with this branch..

Dislike their 5 withdrawal rule if you dont have a minimum balance. Service is very inconsistent. They finally transitioned to no slips at the counters and atms not too long ago.

After reading these reviews, it looks like times have changed... I go here multiple times a week for work and I've never had a bad experience. The tellers are all great and Chuck (in the middle office) is super knowledgeable and great. If you have to go here a lot, pick the teller all the way on the left-- he's great and he'll remember you!

Read the other reviews and was nervous.... went in to open a new checking account and Chuck was great. Got me in and out in no time - gave me starter checks So convenient to work that even though the other yelpers said it wasn't good I tried it out..... plus I HATE BANK of America and all of their bogus fees!!!!! Don't love the banking industry, but I also don't want to carry all of my $ in my back pocket

This bank is a JOKE! They charge like greedy animals with their overdraft fees and have no problem totally !@#$ing you and charging you $30 something dollars for every purchase over your bank account amount. So if you have $10 in your account and by 6 things, 5 of them for a dollar and one for $8, they will over charge you 4 times because they'll be sure to charge the most expensive thing first. Then when I closed my account they didn't even tell me I somehow owed money on the account, never sent me a letter or notice for 7 months, then had a freakin' debt recovery firm call me with another $70 or so in fees because I hadn't paid off the amount they hadn't told me about in 6 months. DO NOT BANK HERE! USE TD BANK! THESE GUYS ARE DISGUSTINGLY UNETHICAL AND FRANKLY JUST BAD PEOPLE/BUSINESS.

Citizens as a bank is fine, but the tellers at this location are just awful. I've gone in and they've used hand gestures instead of speaking, and then when I don't understand and they actually say a few words, I get why they were mute before. Their accents are so thick, you can't understand them even if they do talk. Went in once, asked to do something I've done a few times in the past, and suddenly was not able to do it. No explanation, even though I was thoroughly confused. not that I would have understood what the teller was saying if she had bothered to explain. The teller next to her was actually yelling at a customer. If you have to actually interact with someone, try and go to a different branch. I've had a terrible experience at this location every time I've gone in.

It's very funny how this Citizens branch has one of the lowest rating. And I am 100% not surprised! They definitely have an unprofessional staff. Twice I've been in there for a small change order (literally, less than $100). Coincidentally, I got the same teller both times (jackpot, not!). She would greet me before I get to her window (know the name but I'll keep that to myself) and when I tell her I need a small change order. She would first give me the meanest look with an attitude and and say "do you have an account here and did you call in first, if not I can't help you" whoa lady, calm down... I'm asking you for ten thousand dollars in change. Hey, FYI I do have an account with Citizens and that's why I am giving you guys 2-stars instead on 1!

Convenient and close by...depending on your location...but they had some real CSR problems. I had tried to get 'free' checks three times and they could not send my ATM pin me for over a month after I started a checking account. Basically customer service is terrible.

Horrible customer service! I've been with them since I was 18 (and as they got bought by several other banks) and over last weekend, they charged me over $600 in insufficient funds fees without notifying me! I had checked my statement two days earlier and I had plenty of money, but then my rent check was deposited and unknowingly that weekend I went food shopping, bought a coffee, etc...Not knowing that each time, Citizens Bank was cashing in $39 for each transaction!!! When I realized what happened on Monday, I called and explained. No sympathy whatsover...all they said was "balance your checkbook". No kidding! I check my online statement 3 times a week. They were not at all helpful to me. I'm taking my money to another bank. Lousy service!!!

This Citizens Bank is great, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there is hardly ever a line!!
