This place is adorable. The workers are very nice and helpful. Their selection of toys are very interesting and fun for kids. Good place for gifts plus free gift wrapping.

Boing is my very favorite toy store in all the Boston area! I have been buying presents there for my grandkids for the past 19 years. The staff always make helpful suggestions and are consistently pleasant and polite. I couldn’t recommend Boing more highly!

Went recently with my daughter. I noticed other customers being asked if they needed help, no one asked me. I wasn’t offended by this as it’s the busy holiday season. However when it was time to pay for my items things got weirder. After the person in front of me paid, the staff person left the cash register for no particular reason and just left me standing there. So I put my item on the counter until I can get someone’s attention. When the next employee came to the register she immediately starts to help the person BEHIND me. It was the customer behind the who had to point out that I was waiting in front of her. For the record I am a Latina woman and everyone in that store (except an Indian customer and her child) were white. So there you have it, the JP “progressives.” Still, despite this unsavory experience giving the store 3 stars instead of the minimum because I like to support smalls business and toy stores are so rare these days. Do better!

Add this to a number of previous wonderful shopping experiences here at Boing!The selection, the wrapping(!), the warmth of the folks at the store. Makes this particular Christmas particularly joyful for us, our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—21 people in all.Been shopping here since the day Boing! opened.
