Pinto is a very sweet dog with very high anxiety around veterinary treatment, specifically onset during the COVID pandemic. Back Bay Veterinary Clinic -- and Dr. Graham in particular -- has been SO wonderful in working with us to figure out the best way to make sure he is calm and comfortable so that he can get the care he needs! I recommend Back Bay Vet to ALL of my friends with pets, but especially anyone with a ~* special *~ dog like Pinto.

Back Bay Veterinary Clinic takes exceptional care of our anxious dog. He is not a fan of going to the vet, and BBVC enables us to advocate for his needs and participate in his care. We choose to travel from outside of the city to see them and feel it makes a huge difference in our dog’s quality of life!

I always have great experiences when I come to the clinic. I know my cats are in great hands, and everything is always explained clearly before any labs or tests are done. I can see ways in which the clinic runs that help reduce anxiety in my cats when coming to the clinic - allowing them to roam the exam room if they choose, examining them on their level, and giving them as much agency as possible. <3 you all and the care you've given my pets over the years. Things may be expensive, but the cost is worth it for my peace of mind and knowing I will have the information for informed decisions for my pet's health.

I feel valued as a pet owner every visit- the experience is great from online booking to check in at the front desk to the engagement with the techs and the vet right through to the checkout. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Oh and my stubborn labradoodle runs up the stairs when we go he is so excited to be there!

I can’t say enough good things about them. I had taken my cat to a few other vets knowing he was not doing well, and the BBV seemed to have diagnosed him correctly. Finally feeling like I have some answers on his health. Now, he just has to take his pill like a good boy.

Brought my dog here, she can be a very fearful dog and I understand it can be frustrating for vets. Shes not aggressive at all but i muzzled her just incase and to make everyone feel safe. When the vet came in she was visibly annoyed. Rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing and basically refused to touch her at all. She was also very rude to me and i wasnt sure why. I was trying to be as polite as possible. She told me that my dog would have to be put under in order to express her anal glands, quoted me for a 600 dollar procedure, then charged me 150 dollars for coming in. very frustrated with this vet and i don’t recommend for anyone.
Just wanted to add: I switched to Bond vet which is close by. Had a great experience there, my dog was treated much better and so was I. They had no problem expressing her anal glands without putting her under and it was only 40 dollars!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET CLINIC. POOR PRACTICE.

Biggest ripoff charged me $600 to sit there for 5 hrs and got no diagnosis. Sinful!!!
