Again Avis were extremely good. No problems.My low rating on the vehicle was given in the hope of being asked why. The vehicle was perfect, 4WD SUV as ordered. But couldn't find a manual for it, so when the dash lights started flashing orange and red at 10pm we were most perplexed. Suspect it was an ice warning as temperature was below freezing in Maine that night. So, add a car manual or include an obvious link to a simple explanation of how the features of the car work. But, all in all, good job Avis.

How do you give someone a dirty car?!?! Not cleaned/washed. Can't tell if its scratched up or not.. My husband picked it up. For the amount of $ you pay, you should get a clean car!

I want to say, thank you, to Teana and Leo for their exceptional customer service, pleasant attitudes, and knowledgeable accommodations. I, usually do not rent over an extended period of time, and they made it seamless and worthwhile. Not only will I recommend this Avis Car Rental, I will definitely rent from this branch in the future.

Won't go with AVIS in future.1. Avis rental centre gave me a EV without a charging cable, ruined my Christmas 25th and Boxing 26th day as I could not go anywhere and forced me to drive over an hour back to Boston Logan airport for an exchange.2. Exchange car did not even have a snow removal brush. Luckily weather wasn't that cold with snow.3. WHY were you charging me an extra hour of rental? I returned the car well before 12pm EST stated on my rental agreement!!!AVIS quality has been degrading over years. Will go elsewhere renting my car in future.

The car was EXTREMELY dirty when I picked it up. There clearly was no cleaning done on it at all. There was even a beer can in the back seat, and the driver seat and trunk were all dirty.Also they weren’t very understanding at how much room we needed in the car. We had a group of 7 people and 4 big suitcases and weren’t flexible at all at giving us a bigger car, which is actually what the online listing I paid for said I was getting.

I've rented from here twice both times I have received a unclean car both inside and outside. First time the windshield was almost impossible to see through and no water in the wipers. Second time it's also unclean. Not sure if it's just this location or the Avis standard experience.You can't just go back to the office here because the rental pickup is in the garage 7th floor and no parking in front of the office. Avis, get a handle on this.The customer service at check-in is great, both times. Fast and friendly, I really appreciate that.

The staff at Avis Car Rental on Atlantic Avenue, Boston was great! They were professional and kind, and they were willing to accommodate our request without any hesitation and with a big smile! The rental car was new and clean, it was functional and comfortable to drive. The people at this office made me feel welcoming and being recognized as a valued customer!

Rented a Corolla or something similar and received a Dodge Charger. I suppose some people would consider that an upgrade but we were looking for fuel economy. The desk person was very nice and we had no issues with her. She mentioned that the rentals were a bit crazy that morning so I don't know if they had late returns or what but when we went up to the garage to get the car, there was one cleaning guy who said the car wasn't ready yet. We waited while he cleaned it (totally fine; we understood that things happen) but after getting the car, we realized it only had half a tank of gas. The guy was gone and we needed to leave so we took it as it was. We later returned the car with a full tank of gas but of course, did not get any credit for it. I'm fairly certain the agencies are all supposed to fill the cars before renting them out so dinging them for that. They do have a late return method because it's a 24 hour garage, which is nice.

I booked and paid for a Toyota Rav SUV for an 8 day road trip with my wife.£332.78 was pre-paid on 1.8.23.When we collected the car on 2.9.23 at Boston Sea Front the car provided was a Kia K5 which was unsuitable as we had specifically requested and paid for an SUV due to the elevated driving position which my wife needs. This was pointed out to the clerk and we were told that that was the only car they had and that head office were sending them electric vehicles.We explained this did not suit our needs and that we had pre-paid for the car we were offered a $150 dollar refund which we reluctantly accepted. We were told it would be paid back to our credit card in a few days.At the end of the trip on 9.9.23 we pointed out at the return of the vehicle that the refund was still outstanding and were told that it would now be credited to our account after the vehicle had been returned. This was 5 days ago and still. there has been no refund.On top of that the vehicle was not properly cleaned and the windows were covered in a film that affected visibility. Furthermore the rear seats were stained all over which looked horrible. Photos were taken.All in all a very dissatisfactory experience.

Car was good but when booking online I ordered and paid for a GPS sat nav. One was not provided, when I asked the agent from collection office he said they didn’t supply them and could not refund me as it was paid online. He gave me a number to call but it was a US number and I don’t have cell phone in US as from UK so can’t call so guess I lose my money. Disappointed then paid for something unable to supply and then no refund.

I recently went to the Avis/Budget Rental office on Atlantic Ave., and had a very positive experience!! I had a bit of a tricky situation where I had to close out my rental agreement for 30 days from another location and create a brand new one in order to extend my rental. The staff was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, and were very accommodating! John specifically was a huge help in creating my new rental agreement, and I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, work ethic, and due diligence throughout this process. Thank you John and Avis/Budget staff for all of your help!!

I have rented cars for years and am also a president's circle member. Tiana and Sophia helped me with my rental and the process was extremely smooth. They also displayed great customer service; overall super happy with the experience and I would definitely recommend and also be returning!

The sales associate was very helpful and nice however the car was dirty and smelled funny. I have never rented with Avis before and will cautiously look at renting from them in the future.

Great service over on Atlantic ave in Boston ( Near the aquarium). I rented a new electric Kia It was great. My biggest reason for writing this review is because the woman that assisted me provided exceptional customer service. Like what we all expect but rarely get.During my transaction she made me feel like renting my car was the most important thing of the day. As I was leaving I overheard her being equally courteous to the people behind me. Refreshing.
