Super convenient location in the heart of the Back Bay. They’re currently undergoing renovation, so the lobby is temporarily relocated to the left of the traditional entrance. The newly redecorated rooms are nicely appointed and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My friend was excited to have an in requested river view!

The Grand Ballroom was the only place I was in, but it was beautiful.
2024 update: came here for a cybersecurity conference and spent the day in the meeting rooms. Catered lunch was delicious and staff were really nice. Still haven't seen any guest rooms.

Rooms are small. Wifi does not work in the rooms. The desk tells you just to accept charges of $13/day and that they will just get removed from your bill later. There is no support for their Bonvoy "rewards" program that they force you to sign up for in exchange for wifi. Pool was supposed to be open until mid November according to their website, but when we arrived we learned "they started renovations ahead of schedule" and the pool is closed. They said we can use their sister hotel 2 blocks away and that our room key will work to access the pool. That's not true. Every day you need to waste time in the check in line at the other hotel to get a pool guest card for the other hotel.

Stayed here recently for a very large conference which was at the Boston Convention Center, which is about 2 miles from here. Checking in wasn’t very nice nor friendly, the ladies they had working the counter were very curt, unprofessional, and far from welcoming… their attitude was as if they were doing me a favor. There were about 20 coworkers that I discussed this with and they all had the same complaint about their check-in process. The rest of the staff (housekeeping, those walking around, etc) I encountered were actually very friendly. Seems like the front desk is the only staff which are entitled and empowered to act as poorly as they do.
I got a recently refurbished room on the 26th floor and it was nice. Everything in it was new and very up-to-date, such as the bed having USB and AC outlets in the headboard. The room I got had a living room with pull out bed and TV and the separate bedroom (separated by a door) also had a TV and chair… so if staying with multiple people, it’s a comfy room for privacy and space.
They also have hi-speed elevators to get guests up to the 26th (and above) floor from the lobby. The hotel is attached to the Prudential Center which is a large, very popular mall with many eateries and stores. This property is a quick, 2 block walk from Newbury St, which is a very nice, neighborhood community/walk with tons of shopping and dining options.
Overall, aside from the check-in experience, the stay was great. I would normally just knock off a star for a single issue, but the level of service me and my coworkers experienced brings the stay down to 3 stars.

They didn't have snacks, had to go over to the next hotel to get snacks. They actually have a good relationship with the neighboring hotel and it's a 5 mins brisk walking distance. Rooms were spacious and clean. Prices are a bit high if yomiddle class but it's worth it. Breakfast was delicious. They only had room service when we went. Place was being renovated. This was in April 2024. Am sure by now October, all renovation will be finished.
Cant wait to go back.

Good location, comfortable beds, connectivity with a mall BUT the hotel is going through a complete renovation so no restaurant, bar or health centre…yet the price is high….
Walkability: Everything in the vicinity
Food and drinks: Plenty of restaurants near by

When we arrived, they put us in a room where the bathroom tile was chipped. Asked to change rooms, told us that they would switch rooms free of charge and the ended up charging us for one of the two nights. The manager could have made it clear it was complimentary for the first night only but she basically scammed us.

Usually go to Sheraton if I need to stay at a hotel in Boston. It’s connected with prudential center which is also connected to Copley, which is super convenient if you need to do any shopping.
Service is always phenomenal here, they are quick to respond on the app via chatting and you never have to call. I felt bad there were some guests yelling at them in the lobby for some board lol.
Room was a bit musty in my most recent visit, but it was cleared up by running the AC, also the bed didn’t have the full bottom covers. It was only covered with the flat sheet, which wasn’t an issue but I did notice it does come off easier than the cover.
Location is so good, but just keep in mind lots of events happening so can be noisy or filled with lots of kids from vacations or school events who are staying there.

Came back again on October 10. Once again staff is always amazing 10/10 service. Def one of the best places I’ve stayed service wise.
The room provided this time was not musty at all and had no issues staying here over the weekend .
Rooms: Rooms weren’t bad, definitely not the best but can’t complain.
Nearby activities: Copley center, prudential center, seaport, back Bay Area, plenty of places to eat
Safety: Pretty safe in the area, it’s downtown Boston.
Walkability: Everything is close by, but if you do need to go anywhere I’d recommend to Uber and not drive.

While recently renovated, the room was tiny with narrow doorways and a very small bathroom. They didn't bother to provide a bedside clock, even Motel 6 does that. Bring a bushel basket of dough for the valet parking charge. On the plus side, the location is great - - easy walk to Fenway, and there's an interior corridor connecting the hotel to the Prudential Center, very convenient.

Great location downtown and within walking distance of many great attractions. Room was decent, and service met expectations.

In a hotel, the room experience is the most important factor, and sadly, this hotel let us down in that department. We were put on the 7th floor, even though I asked for a room higher up, but was told there were none available (hotel has 29 floors, I can’t believe there wasn’t a single different room available). The room was minuscule, extremely outdated and only had a “view” of a/c fans and the neighboring building. The bathroom had some cleanliness issues, notably hairs stuck to the shower wall, dust and grime in the corners and bathtub stains. The walls are paper thin, we could hear people talking next door and in the corridor at all hours as well as water running through the pipework with every flush from nearby. The bathroom exhaust didn’t work and the windows don’t open, so the room was stuffy and damp.
Excellent location for Fenway park and Back Bay Area, but the hotel itself was a massive letdown for the price (£269+tax).

Perfect location whenever we visit our son. Very close to Northeastern university. They kept water in the room which we appreciated in the middle of the night. Clean property. Helpful service. Very walkable neighborhood. Boston downtown appears to be very safe.
Safety: Appears to be very safe.
Walkability: Super walkable. People walk a lot as they look fit.

AVOID The Sheraton Hotel AT ALL COSTS.
I’ve never experienced a hotel stay as disappointing as this one. Let me start with the minor issues and work my way up to the worst of it. First off, there was no lobby or hotel bar, which was misleading since nothing indicated this when I booked. A few weeks before my trip, they vaguely mentioned a "transformation" but provided no details. The pool, which promised a retractable roof with stunning views, remained sealed off the entire time.
Upon arrival, I was informed of some “light construction” a few floors above me, starting at 9 AM. However, what followed was far from light. The room initially seemed decent, but half the outlets didn’t work, the microwave required an extra rental charge, and the tub and wallpaper were both chipping. To top it off, a thick layer of dust and grime covered surfaces that were slightly out of sight. The bed was another letdown—no fitted sheet, just a small mattress pad that barely covered 70% of the mattress.
And then came the construction. It started as early as 7:30 AM on some days, and the noise was unbearable. It felt as if the construction was happening in the room next door, disrupting our sleep, preventing virtual attendance at the conference, and making it impossible to work or take meetings in the room. Adding insult to injury, we received notices on two of our four nights that the water would be shut off for construction, forcing us to use facilities on other floors.
The most unsettling part was the lack of respect for our privacy. Housekeeping entered our room without knocking—twice. The second time, it woke us up at around 7:45 AM. I understand that older buildings require maintenance, and I expected some inconveniences, but this was beyond unacceptable. From a major, usually trusted brand, this was a nightmare. I will actively avoid Marriott hotels in the future and will explore other options, as I’ve had more pleasant experiences in roadside motels.
Avoid at all costs, especially for the price.
