I was going to go in and buy a pair of Fifth Avenues, but I wanted to check my sizing first. The sales associate insisted that I was a size 8E, when I already told her that I used to wear an Allen Edmond 8.5D, and could no longer fit into them. I told her that I wanted to try a 9E, which fit me perfectly, but she insisted it was the wrong size and to get the 8E, which was incredibly tight.
Anyways, didn't waste my time here and just bought a pair online lol.

These folks are the best. I had to exchange a pair of shoes that were probably more worn than they should have been. But these folks took them and helped me find a pair that fit better. Am a huge fan of their shoes, have had them for 15 plus years. The staff in this store are exceptional- friendly, well trained, knowledgeable, very helpful. It’s a brand that is not cheap, but provides the highest quality and durability around. Really appreciate this state street store staff. Stop in whenever I am in town!

I would give Nicole ten stars if I could!! I came here to buy my first dress shoes, and she was so helpful in my finding a pair I liked in the right size. Since I have small and wide feet, getting shoes in the right size is always an issue, much less from stores that specialize in men's shoes, but it was a painless process here, which I attribute both to Allen Edmonds' excellent selection and especially to Nicole's assistance.I came to pick up the shoes with my partner, who came in with me without particular interest in getting anything herself, but left excited to come back to get shoes of her own sometime. The assistance makes a huge difference. I would definitely recommend this store to any woman interested in men's shoes.

Good experience when we first visited but went for a return today and the store doors are locked at 645 when the store closes at 7pm. Disappointing because we drove for 30 mins.

What a great shoe store. High quality construction. They are the type of shoe that if you need them resoled , no problem. I worked in a full service shoe store in college and I learned a lot about shoes. One thing that I learned was always buy quality footwear for the health of your feet. However, this store doesn't compromise style for substance. You get both. Today I purchased casual shoes, which they carry along with more business and dressy styles. They'll last me a lifetime.
