I've lived around the corner for 3 years now, and this place is my go-to. I don't bring any clothes Id want to wash delicately but it's a great option for bulk laundry. I've also had simple alterations done no problem. This is a family run business and they are all very kind and I will continue to support them!

You should AVOID THIS PLACE!I made the mistake of using this dry cleaner to clean a suit, since it is close to my home in Beacon Hill. I dropped the suit off on Monday and they told me it would be available for pick up on Wednesday. When I returned on Wednesday afternoon, they couldn't locate my suit jacket. They lost my jacket! They had no idea where it was and said it would "maybe" show up Thursday evening. I explained that I needed the suit for Thursday and picking it up the next day wasn't feasible. The owner then brought her adult son out to attempt to look for the suit jacket another time. After he was unable to find it, he became extremely rude and said "You'll just have to pick it up Thursday." No apology. No signs of remorse.I arrived in gym clothes after a workout and I'm African-American. Throughout the encounter, he was extraordinarily condescending and rude. I doubt he would be rude to a white client. In actuality, I'm a surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital. I can't believe any business owner would be so disrespectful to a client, especially when the owner made a mistake. I will never bring my clothes back to this establishment. They advertise same day cleaning and that has to be a complete lie. They weren't even able to clean my clothes over a two day span. AVOID THIS PLACE!!This is unacceptable behavior and the epitome of unprofessionalism.

I've been going to A Plus Cleaners for over two years now and find it fantastic. The elderly woman who is always there is very friendly and efficient. The prices are low and the turnaround time is fast (generally ~48h for professional pieces). Had five skirts and 2 suits dry cleaned after some intense use and they came back good as new. Everything came down to just under $60. Amazing!

I use them for alterations. The women who runs the shop is nice but does not understand anything you ask about alterations. I find it difficult to not be able to meet the actual person who does the alterations. I have had two expensive items ruined. I had a wool blazer taken up in the sleeve and they just folded over the cuff. Now the buttons are right at the end of the cuff. WhenI went back to ask her about the way it was done, she couldn't come up with a good explanation. I also had a hard time explaining why I didn't like it. She said it's the only way that they do it. A men's suit would be ruined if they did it this way. I also had a dress hemmed only one inch which was the exact same length of the hem it had when purchased. The material is puckered and damaged and not done correctly. I wish that they had someone that I could call to discuss this matter. Its a place right around the corner from where I live and I really wanted to like them!

I had a client spill coffee on her large puffy winter coat and called A Plus Cleaners to see if they could do same day cleaning. Not only did the wonderful woman do a wonderful job cleaning the jacket, but did a rush same day job that would have normally taken two days! Made my client's day!

She tried charging me a dry cleaning charge for a coat that explicitly says not to have dry cleaned, and the price she was going to charge still remained unchanged after I corrected her to only have it washed. I am not comfortable paying for a service with no set prices, especially when you e made it perfectly clear you're ripping me off.

Very nice people, but their cleaning process cracks shirt buttons and they don't replace them.

This place has really gone down hill recently. I used to be very happy with the quality of their dry cleaning. But over the past few months, the prices went up and the quality has really dropped. The first incident happened when I brought in a few shirts that were ink stained. (I think that one of my neighbors had a pen explode in our washing machine). Although the ink stains were bad, the lady behind the counter told me that she could get out the stains. Well she didn't. I paid for the services only to go home and find that the stains were still there (yes, I was stupid for not inspecting the shirts at the place). When I went back and complained, the lady offered to re-wash the shirts at a reduced price. She shouldn't have told me that she could get out the stains. When the stains didn't come out, she should've re-washed my shirts at no added cost to me. I already paid for the service with the expectation that the shirts be returned stain-free. If the stains couldn't be removed, then she should've refunded my money. The second incident happened when I dropped off another stained shirt for cleaning and a jacket for alterations. The jacket was ready before the shirt. When I picked up the jacket, the lady behind the counter asked that I pay for both services. I did, which was a big mistake on my part. When I picked up the shirt, it still looked dirty and like it wasn't even cleaned. I couldn't refuse to pay because I had already repaid. I've finally learned from my mistakes and now take my business elsewhere.

I've been here a couple of times now for dry cleaning and have been very happy. Decent prices and friendly service. My garments are always ready when they say they will be. I don't get the reviews about not being able to communicate--sure, English isn't their native language but I've never had any trouble understanding or being understood here.

I recently moved to Boston and Beacon Hill, and wanted to find a dry cleaners I could go to 1-3 times per month for basic men's shirt laundry and dry cleaning. I called around, and A Plus was the cheapest shirt laundry for $2.15/shirt. (Other locations were $2.25 - $2.50, so not a huge difference.) Because they're not on Charles Street, I wonder if they're less busy and have faster turnaround times, but I'm not sure yet. There was a cute old lady sitting on a stool folding laundry (they have wash and fold; see picture for prices). She was pleasant, took my order, and I left. I came in on a Monday at 10:30am, which was too late for next day service (I didn't expect next day, though I did ask), so I'll pick up on Thursday and hope to post an update once I get my stuff back. Just 8 men's shirts, 2 slacks, 1 dress, and 1 skirt. As you can note from my pictures: - Credit cards are accepted, minimum purchase is $15.00 - Open on Saturdays, 8am - 5pm (some locations in Beacon Hill are only Monday - Friday) - Open 7am - 7pm Mondays through Fridays (I like having later hours) - See pictures for pricing list Personally, my brief experience dropping off was great. Note that I DON'T take expensive clothing to a place like this. But I'm happy to have regular men's shirts and women's clothes (all under $50 each) cleaned at a basic dry cleaners. Keep your expectations realistic, people! If you don't want fancy stuff getting ruined, take it to a fancy dry cleaners. A Plus is my kind of place when it comes to cheap dry cleaning.
