Honest mechanics that won't try to charge you for services you don't need.
I had called about getting a transmission fluid flush and they explained that they wouldn't do it without checking first to see if it's what I actually needed. Instead of just trying to make a sale, they were honest with me and didn't want me to waste money on something I didn't need.

Nice guys. My friend fell on his bike and had to take an ambulance to hospital. This shop kept his bike overnight until we could pick it up. Wouldnt take money

I was a random walk in on a Tuesday; needed a brake and oil change. They took it in no problem and had it back to me about 5 hours later. Very fast service, reasonable price, and very friendly. Highly recommend!

I was told by another mechanic that I needed some transmission work done. I called A-1 intending to schedule an appointment. I explained the situation and given the age and mileage of my car they advised against getting the work done. I really appreciated their honesty and that they were willing to sacrifice what could've been an easy sale for whats best for my car. Thank you!

Tony checked out the transmission on my wife's Mazda 6 today. It has more than 100k miles and started jerking when shifting into drive.He made sure that there was enough transmission fluid, did a test drive, and checked the drivetrain.Tony explained in detail why he wouldn't recommend any repair. And then he refused to charge us for the diagnostics.He's trustworthy and not just looking out for maximum profit.Services: Transmission

This shop is a unicorn; the honest transmission mechanic. He easily could have said my transmission was shot when it was rough shifting and leaking some fluid but instead he replaced the fluid and one problematic part and it's running like new. Highly recommend.Service: Transmission

This guy scammed me. Paid 225 for a transmission fluid change and when I took my car for maintenance at a different place they told me the fluid was dirty and the level was too low. Avoid this place

Tony took me in for work on the 2016 Rogue, no questions asked. I was recommended this place by someone who helped take care of my flat tire at VIP, and they did not disappoint! Easy to work with, and I was in and out same day - had my transmission flushed swapped, and filters changed. So far so good! Thanks for the quick and well-priced service.

I was having slipping problems with my 2007 Toyota Fj Cruiser work truck. That truck is literally, directly tied to my livelihood. So, I brought it to a super honest, local mechanic who thought the issue might be bigger than he could handle. He suggested I bring the truck down to A1 Automatic Transmission. I'm glad I did. When I called, Tony, the guy in charge, said I could bring it down right away, which I did. I left the truck overnight and got a call in the morning from Tony. He verified what the other mechanic said the issues were and gave me a reasonable quote for the work. He only did what he thought was necessary and was very clear about what other things I should look for should things go badly again. I am in the trades myself and really appreciate when someone treats the customer fairly and honestly. I highly recommend A-1 if you are having transmission problems. Thanks for getting me back on the road!
