Shawsheen Firearms & Gunsmithing goes beyond service in many ways. Vinny goes beyond service with great knowledge of firearms and answers questions that have benefited me as a customer. Vinny was very helpful and hooked me up with a great deal on a beautiful, used S&W Model 19-5 snub nose. He showed me how to inspect a used DA/SA revolver for wear/ timing issues as well (very helpful to understand what I was buying). He also gave me a fair trade in value on my used firearm and I was able to bring home the Model 19 the same day!Tony was very helpful in filling out all of the transfer paperwork on the computer and a joy to chat with as well. If you need gunsmithing work/ questions answered or are looking for a very knowledgeable, down to earth, local FFL with some unique inventory then go check them out! Thank you again guys!

I have been customer for 5 years and Vinnie has ALWAYS been very helpful in helping me with My selection and describes everything I need to know about my purchase ! And Vinnie has do alot of gunsmith work on several of my purchases from him !I highly recommend his store and his exceptional gunsmith work.

Vinny is the best. Top tier service always.In regards to Ed, if you wanted it you would of bought it. Someone who is that interested in the purchase would have no problem leaving a deposit.Do you know what a deposit means? It means if you want to purchase they take that quantity off of full price.If you don’t want to purchase, you get refunded the quantity.No participation trophy’s here, just top quality service at Shawnsheen Firearms and Gunsmithing!!!And no I’m not affiliated with shop.

I called and asked about the availability of a gun listed on their website. I spoke with a Tony who verified that the gun was still available. I told him I would be in at a specific time to look at the gun. He acknowledged that I would be there in two hours. I arrived at the designated time and was asked by Vinnie how he could help. I stated the gun model and that I had called previously and stated I was coming to look at the gun. He said there was somebody currently looking at the gun and if he does not want it then you can take a look... Then he stated that if I had called I should have left a deposit to hold the gun... Well, I was never informed by Tony that was the store policy... I had been burned previously by this shop when I saw a different gun on their website and just drove to the store and asked to see the gun... Vinnie responded that the gun had been sold about a week ago... I said it is still listed on your website...It seems this shop is a part time venture and basic communications are lacking (i.e. providing updates from customer calls, establishing formal procedures that will insure a gun someone has called about is available for when they arrive)There are other gun shops in the area that do not require a deposit to hold a gun... much larger shops than this one...The shop needs more commitment to better serve customers... I will never do business with them again!Response to Owner…Vinnie, really!!! Who is the the unprofessional baby here? I provided, what you should consider, constructive feedback to better your business… instead you have to make it personal.Good Luck!

My post is in response to Ed. Were you going to buy the gun or were you just going to look at it? Because it's fair game at that point. If you had every intention of buying the gun, you should have stated that and Vinny probably would have set it aside.But you said you were only going to look at it. What if he put the gun aside and you didn't end up buying it? Then he's out a sale for the day... A sale that puts food on his table to feed his kids. Maybe next time you should choose your words more wisely. First come, first serve. The other guy beat you to it and you're being a sore loser.Well done Vinny. Keep up the exceptional work.

Great experience buying a new firearm.I had a scope mounted and bore sighted with a great turnaround time .Definitely recommend going there to make a purchase or have some gunsmithing done.While I was there another customer picked up his shotgun that had some work done to it and it looked fantastic!

The good source for ammo, repairs and information staff is knowledgeable and personable . Don't get jerked around at the big stores give Shawsheen a try and I know you will not be disappointed.

I'm new to firearms. Vinnie and his staff were very helpful! The store is quiet, friendly and well stocked. I felt very comfortable asking questions and they helped me get exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this store for anyone, but especially for a novice who needs help learning what is right for them.

I cannot say enough good things about the folks at Shawsheen Firearms. Polite, friendly, and helpful, are traits possessed by the entire staff. When I came in today, new to the world of shotguns, the gang helped me find the perfect one for me and went the extra mile to make sure I was totally satisfied with my purchase. 10/10 I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you give them a shot too (pun not intended).
