Inn was dated, only one nightstand and one reading chair in the queen room, which made it difficult to relax as a couple. Also, free wifi, which is needed to stream your content to their tvs, but the wifi kept going out. Bathroom floor was dirty, which I only noticed because the underside of the bath mat was gross after one use. No restaurant on-site. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for our trip to Boston/Salem/MV/Gloucester. The room was small but it was clean and the hotel was quiet. AC/heater was loud. If you are not planning to be in the room very much and are looking for a room with the basics, it was fine. It is not upscale nor is it low level. Staff could have been more friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Great proximity to the areas mentioned above. Nice photo op near the fountain.
Nearby activities: Quick drive to Salem, Boston, Gloucester and about 1& 1/2 hrs. to New Bedford for the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.

Very nice room. Great price compared to others in the area. Great location and the property is beautiful. I do recommend and would stay again. Very professional staff as well.
Walkability: Short walk to the beach. Just a lovely place near Endicott college.

Even though the location was nice. This is the smallest room I have ever stayed at.
Too many college students for my taste.
The rooms were converted doom rooms!
In the photos my husband is 6’2 and his arm span almost reaches the walls!
The room smelled like old sneakers.
No matter what I sprayed the smell came back!
I would not come back. $180 a night.
Only way I would be back if it costs $100 a night.

Would not recommend.
Location is convenient if you have plans in beverly/essex. Besides location, the accommodations did not provide the value expected.
First impressions: the room smelled bad, the door was VERY difficult to close, and the bed may have been a queen, but it didn’t look like my queen at home.
Other notable things: the room didn’t feel like it was clean. Turned over, yes. But wiped down with some basic cleaning solution/disinfectant, not sure. Also there wasn’t a duvet cover on the duvet — never seen that, but it felt gross.
The above experience can too be yours for the low-low price of $300 a night.
Overall, the place was passable for a night if needed but much more akin to a budget place. Personally, I would not pay more than $100/night for this type of stay.

Almost $300 for a one night stay....overpriced for a basic room. The grounds are lovely but the Inn was disappointing. Stayed there for an off-site wedding so it did serve it's purpose but I would not recommend, at that price point. $150 per night max for the type of accommodation provided.

Just beautiful, from the entrance gate through reception and into the room. Quiet, well located and a beach included. A wonderful sleep - comfortable and quiet.
Nearby activities: Salem close by.

Great location in one needs to be near Salem MA. But $40 per night resort fee? You are a 3 star hotel.

A quiet place with quaint rooms. Staff (Chris) was quite knowledgeable about the area, friendly and professional.

We stayed here in October 2023 when we went to Salem, and it was a very great option for its close proximity (only about 10 minutes away). The grounds and surrounding area are amazing, although it is a bit melancholy to drive in through a big entrance past a big, beautiful building to go stay at the smaller building off to the side. The rooms were clean and decently sized (if not a bit small/dark) and look like converted dorm rooms. I'm pretty sure the people running the desk are students, but either way they were very pleasant and good-natured about answering my dozen questions. I definitely plan on staying again soon.

You get what you pay for. The decor is less than appealing. Needs a major refresh. Tiny rooms and the carpets are dirty. Nice touch with coffee in lobby and kerig in room. While we encountered some nice staff members one morning I was sitting in the lobby and the 2 women working at the front desk were discussing inappropriate things and cursing. Very unprofessional. Grounds are very pretty and nice pathway to the beach was the highlight. I will go air B&B next time I’m in the area. #1 on list for this place is to get a refresh - paint walls - new carpets. Get rid of outdated curtains. I’m a designer so it’s hard to ignore the aesthetics. It would not take much to make this a 5 star.Food & drinks: Restaurant was not open. Need a car to get to any food options. Close to Beverly farms and has great food options.
