I give it 2 stars simply for being in a convenient location(rte 128 north), and for having a burger king. The subway there is awful. Used to have a dunkin donuts, but no more sadly
As for Shell itself, I avoid this place as often as I can. Most of the workers are fine, except for this one witch who works there(you'll know who I mean if you go)
Always stone faced and MISERABLE looking. Makes me wait a good minute EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I come here, while she fiddles with whatever she's doing back there.
But I always smile and be polite. Everytime
, I say thank you, and Everytime she looks at me with a nasty face as if I'd just dropped a duece on her breakfast bar..
Just a rude, hateful woman who makes me feel bad Everytime I walk out. I get it, customers are a pain, but c'mon now. If not for her, this store would've made thousands of dollars from me.
There are a couple younger workers there and they are great
UPDATE SEVERAL YEARS LATER: dropping my rating down to 1 star. Im standing here like a sap trying to get gas and cigarettes. Nobody is in the store attending the register. At least put out a sign and lock the door you fools. This station is the worst. Only good when the dude is working

Wicked bad customer service I pumped gas for 15 dollar's and got charged twice for 40 dollar's my tank can't hold 80 dollar's and the woman with the glasses was like come back on Monday to talk to the manager about it it's Saturday mind you no sorry just rolled eye's I'm sure the owner had more respect for his customers than this woman who represents this company.

Only Shell gas in Beverly. Place comes in handy when you’re on the highway and desperately need gas. 10/10

Most expensive gas around and they can't even change the filters on the pumps. Takes forever to fill up. SKIP IT IF YOU CAN

Route 128 extends around Boston and continues on the north side of the city out to the Cape Ann peninsula towards Gloucester and Rockport. This rest area is useful as you don't have to get off the highway to refuel your car or to get lost on the surface streets searching for fast food. Easy off and there's a gas station, Burger King, Subway, convenience store and restrooms. Signs indicate no overnight parking allowed is which is a shame. [Review 18585 overall - 1167 in Massachusetts - 2107 of 2022.]

Filled up at a pump for premium black handle so sure it was gasoline. Pump dispersed diesel into my vehicle and completely ruined the engine. Do not buy gasoline here be very careful

I stopped to get overpriced gas and after sliding my card the gas pump first asked me to donate to Alzheimer which okay fine but then proceeds to ask me to give them my phone number so they can send me text messages first of all we're in the middle of a pandemic do you think I want to touch your machine four time because they're asking me questions about my phone number??? secondly shell I'm on the road and I need gas I don't have time for your million question thanks I won't go here anymore

The highway signs and the digital signs have been changed however The prices above the pumps have not been changed in over 2 weeks!
