Very friendly owner with great selection of comic books! They also host a lot of events and are very kid friendly. They even sell art supplies! And they support independent and local artists. Go Paper Asylum!

What a gem! It's so awesome to have such a great store nearby to cover a lot of fandoms! Comics, TCG, Manga, tabletop, events, art supplies! This place has a great selection! Personally, they've helped me complete my vintage sets of Pokemon Cards and have been super friendly and helpful every time I've been in there. If you're nearby, go there a lot! If you are visiting, make a point to stop in and check it out! You won't be disappointed!

Visiting from NJ and had a chance to stop at this LCS and was very pleased with my visit, lots of stuff in this little shop picked up a few books.Nice shop with friendly atmosphere.I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

This place is great. The nice Asian man who was there on the day I visited helped me find tons of good stuff and was speaking to me as a person , not a customer. Aka: he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. This place and Omar’s in Lexington are some of the best places in the area. Both have perfect employees who are there for the fun and not the paycheck. They should get a raise lol.

On my first visit to any town, as a lifetime comic/game store lover, I HAVE to visit all of the local shops and get a feel for what's going on. Comic Shops are one of the few last bastions of retail that hasn't been completely homogenized, and as such, when I walk into to one I never quite know for sure what I'm going to get.Today was no different! I walked into Paper Asylum first, before any other shops in the area, and as far as my first impressions of Beverly go, I may be smitten. The shop is bright, clean, and chock full of anything a growing n*** needs in their pop culture diet. The shelves are lined with comics and trades, toys and boardgames, and even the odd trading card game. As an MTG fan for many years I couldn't help but look through their wares.The service was great and my GF and I had an excellent conversation with the owner talking about all sorts of things related to hobbies and games. If I could leave a 6th star I would, but the only thing remotely close to criticism I have is that there didn't look like there was a place to play said games, but I may just not have seen it (some shops squirrel them away where they can fit them and I was also quite distracted by all the cool stuff).

If I could give Paper Asylum more than 5 stars, I would. When I walked in, the guy at the counter, Pete, was helping an older woman find a gift for a small child. When they were finished, he made sure to greet me and ask if I needed any help. This kind of personal attention is a dying art. I was looking at some buttons made by a local artist and asked if he could ship them for me. Not only did he ship them, they got to the recipient the same day! Pete made my day a little brighter, and his hand-written note made my friend's day brighter, too. I can't say enough good things about this store.

This is the greatest store. My kids and I love it. Pete and his crew are fantastic. They are very knowledgeable about comics, graphic novels, Pokemon, and all the other wonderful things they sell.
