“Has the best customer service I've ever experienced with a vet. My cat was recently diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease. They have been beyond helpful in answering all my questions, telling me which food to switch him to and what care he will need. They turned my panic about this diagnoses to a calm. “In the past few months I have had to visit Cambridge Street Hospital for my 1 year old dog and 9 year old dog for various different reasons. Each and every time the staff that answer the phones are knowledgeable, helpful and efficient getting my pups seen when needed. They are so kind and welcoming upon our arrival. I have seen two different vets there and they both have been skilled and compassionate and are diligent with their follow up. “I found this place because I had been going to the same Brookline vet group for 17 years and it has steadily been going downhill but I was loyal and don’t like change. When my dog became really sick - I had to find a place that was organized, calm & competent to try and save my dogs life. Ultimately, lily passed away but the wonderful care she received & the kindness that was shown to me was like night and day compared to my previous vet. Our two cats, Feather and Twinkie, are not fans of vet visits, but they quickly know they’re in good hands as soon as the exams begin. Our Feather is missing a back paw so I really appreciate our provider feeling her leg and joint to ensure Feather has a great life!

“We are deeply grateful to VCA City Cats Hospital, especially Dr. Palopoli, for the exceptional care they provided to our beloved cat, Meatloaf. Dr. Palopoli is an outstanding vet — incredibly smart, attentive, and deeply compassionate. She has a fantastic bedside manner and truly knows her stuff.
In Meatloaf’s final appointments, she made sure he was comfortable and cared for every step of the way. When the time came to say goodbye due to his age, Dr. Palopoli guided us through the process with so much empathy. She explained everything ahead of time so there were no surprises, and gave us the time and space we needed to be with him. Afterward, she even sent a personalized card that meant so much to us during such a difficult moment.
The rest of the staff was also excellent — always professional, kind, and respectful in every appointment we had. I wish I remembered everyone's names because they all deserve credit for the thoughtful and skilled care they provide.
VCA City Cats is truly a special place, and we’re so thankful for everything they did for Meatloaf and for us. We have two other cats, so we'll be back!”

“Pinto is a very sweet dog with very high anxiety around veterinary treatment, specifically onset during the COVID pandemic. Back Bay Veterinary Clinic -- and Dr. Graham in particular -- has been SO wonderful in working with us to figure out the best way to make sure he is calm and comfortable so that he can get the care he needs! I recommend Back Bay Vet to ALL of my friends with pets, but especially anyone with a ~* special *~ dog like Pinto.”
“My dog gets extremely anxious with vet appointments. He needs lots of calming meds and a muzzle. The radiologist that took him in for his ultrasound was fantastic! We were unsure our dog would be able to do it given his anxiety but she was able to get it done and he happily came back out to us with her saying he did great. “I moved to Boston in June 2023 and was referred to South Bay by our dog walker. From the beginning we have found the team and veterinarians to be compassionate, responsive and skilled on their care of our two dogs. Recently our 12 year old retriever mix has had health issues and I’m sad to say that yesterday we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize her. Dr Baker was so incredibly kind and patiently talked us through options, gave us privacy to make the decision, and allowed us to gather the family to be with our beloved dog as she crossed the rainbow bridge. I am grateful to have had this support during this sad time and going forward to care for our other dog.”
“NEVER have I EVER seen a vet being so invested, so thorough, so caring about my dog. I am in awe..I came here for a second opinion for my dogs health issue, before simply accepting what my original vet said, and man am I glad I did. Dr Levine went above & beyond to make sure that he had researched ALL options before letting my dog undergo surgery, and guess what? He doe not necessarily need surgery - Dr Levine had alternatives, very well thought out alternatives that he carefully discussed eith me, and I just could not be happier! Thank you!!”
“We've had cats in a dozen towns and cities across four states, and the Cat's Hospital is the best cat vet we've had. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. More important, our cats get great care, from routine checkups to treating issues small and large. And we never feel as if they're doing something just for the money--no ridiculously expensive tests with no effect on care, as we've had in many other places.”
“We have 2 dogs that are frequent flyers at MetroVet. Everyone is so caring with my pups and always helpful with my many phone calls with questions. My dogs are very nervous and we’ve had experiences with other vets where I wasn’t allowed in the exam room or they just didn’t seem to care about my dogs being comfortable there. Here I get to stay with them and they take things slow at their pace and give lots of good treats. We also go right into the exam room and never have to deal with other dogs being too close to us which is also a plus. My dogs love the staff here! ❤️”

“Dr Hanson and her amazing team cared for my dog for the last 15 years including many tough times. When he was attacked in the woods years ago Dr Hanson saved his life (fixing what an emergency vet did wrong). she treated seizures and did dental surgery and always cared for him with love. She is a very special Vet, your pets will be lucky to have her watching over them. Thank you Dr Hanson !”
“We were very happy with Dr. Chelsea. She had obviously spent time reviewing our questionnaire and listened to our concerns attentively. She thoroughly answered all our questions and explained the reasons behind her recommendations clearly. Everyone was great! The woman who checked us in was very accommodating. Slider seemed to have a rude fascination with Rita (I hope I'm remembering her name correctly), yet she was nonplussed and handled it well. As I mentioned, Dr. Chelsea was fabulous. And two other staff members even pitched in at the end to corral Slider when he attempted a jail break. Overall, the vibe was very calm and welcoming.”
“Our sweet boy had an amazing experience here. I’m so glad we found Dedham Vet. We had a very traumatizing experience at our previous vet where they mishandled our boy (force holding him down and dragging him by the collar) not once but twice which resulted in him being completely fearful of going back in. It turns out we just needed the right team of compassionate people who truly care. Tiffany and Dr Bolduc took their time with us and everything went completely smooth. We’ve been here a few times now and every staff member I’ve interacted with has been nothing short of wonderful. We can’t wait to be back in a few months for our next visit. :)”

My two little dogs are my whole world and they have taken such incredible care of them, I have cried out of gratitude. I moved here from out of state and I couldn’t get in any vet for months. When my one dog needed potentially emergent surgery they squeezed her in the next day and we have been going there ever since. I love these people and am so incredibly grateful for them.”

“Doctor Binder is truly amazing! Her compassion and kindness for her patients goes beyond words I could explain. She talks to them as if they were her own. She is very honest and will not do unnecessary testing without discussing all pros and cons first. I travel over 30 minutes to bring my cats and dog to her. The staff in the office are so nice and overall the most perfect vet office in my opinion. The one or two times I urgently had to bring my cat in and Dr Binder wasn’t there, the other vet in the office was just as kind. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.”
