I go out of my way just to go to this USPS location because the staff are kindly and their service is good. Elias was particularly helpful, and he quickly shipped my 5 media mail packages.

I had a passport appointment for my 17 year son last month at this post office. When I tried to make an appointment online in our home state of Arizona, there were no appointment slots available anywhere within a 100 mile radius for the next four weeks (the furthest period of time in the future that appointments can be scheduled.) We had plans to visit family in the Boston area and were staying with my mother in Belmont. When I checked and saw that there was an appointment available during our stay at the Belmont post office on Concord Ave two days before our flight home, I went ahead and grabbed it. We arrived a little early the day of the appointment with the application and supporting documents. Our appointment was with Joe, who was fantastic. When he saw that we lived out of state, he warned us that the State Department can look askance at passport applications that are submitted outside the applicant's home state. He recommended that we include a copy of our travel intinerary to show that we were visiting and gave me the location of a UPS store nearby that could print off a copy of the intinerary from my phone. I've worked in customer service, and know how difficult it can be to tell people something they don't want to hear, even when it's for their own good. We came back a little later with the copy of the intinerary and Joe enclosed it with the application. He also recommended including a scanned copy of my passport that shows Massachusetts as my place of birth. He could have just taken the application as is, but he didn't because he cared and didn't was us to deal with any red tape and delays. I paid extra for expedited service and my son's passport arrived at our home address 12 days later. Thanks Joe!

I can’t say enough good things about my local USPS, and that’s largely thanks to Cass. He’s an absolute star — always going the extra mile to help and serve with professionalism and kindness. No matter how busy it gets, Cass handles every situation with patience, efficiency, and a genuine willingness to assist. His dedication and positive attitude truly make all the difference. Thank you, Cass, for consistently going above and beyond!

I had the most stressful day ever, dealing with some paperwork, I did go to 12 post offices. Watertown, Newton , Waltham Lexington, Boston, Lincoln, etc. and this one was the only one that offered a solution and helped me out. I just wanted to say thank you so much and keep doing an amazing job.
There’s a reason a lot people are getting fire, they are not doing the basic. Their job. But the guys on this unit deserve a raise

Went there today, seems they hired a new employee, very rude to the customers. I feel bad for the people who were trying to send out their holiday packages.

Literally the rudest post office. Every single time I’ve gone in, they are flat out mean to any question any person could ask.I went in the other day and someone was asking about paying for tracking. They explained to the clerk that 20 years ago, there used to be a way to pay for tracking. The clerk was so rude to them and when the person left, the clerk said “everyone always wants something for free.” Not what happened. They were literally asking to pay for the service.I went in today and Claude was questioning me about the address on my envelope. He asked if the 7 was an S and I was trying to understand and explain the address and he shushed me and said “I know what I’m talking about.” Then, I didn’t realize you couldn’t modify the shape of a flat rate box and he was so rude about how I needed to “respect the shape of the box”.Honestly, I dread going here.

You might not think reviewing a Post Office branch is worthwhile, but this particular location stands out for friendly staff and efficient wait times. I live in Cambridge but prefer to go to this branch for the friendlier and easier overall experience. There’s generally available 15 minute street parking right in front of the building if you go in the morning.

I came by today to submit passport application and was told that the camera is not working. Plus communication wasn’t that great.
