“Rented skis boots and poles for 5 days for $115! They have good clothes and socks in stock. The workers are super relaxed but also diligent. I would definitely recommend renting here or shopping for some things, though the store is kind of small. If you need some ski pants or socks they definitely have a lot of those things.”
“Friendly workers. Running shoes, clothing, and gear are all high quality.I give 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. Mainly, there is no info on the shoes on the wall display. The Boston and Brookline locations list things like the model, stack height, and drop right next to the shoe. Cambridge really needs to do this.Secondly, the 3 shoes initially brought out didn’t match my foot scan at all. It was odd. But I did find a pair of Nikes I liked and was able to order them from Nike directly in the width I need. Note that width options are limited in most running stores. So I don’t fault Marathon sports for not carrying the wide.”
“I had a great experience getting running shoes here! Sophia helped me choose a pair of shoes after I did the technological evaluation scan thing, where you step on the platform and it evaluates your shoe size, pronation level, and where you put pressure on your feet. She was wonderful at listening to what I was looking for, offering options, and explaining the benefits of different brands and styles. I ended up with a pair of Asics and also running socks. If I end up needing a shoe insole, I'll come back here. I would highly recommend this Marathon Sports ?”

“They sold us non-matching skis. We went back with the receipt 3 weeks later and they refused to take them back because they were a matching set. At the end of the season they again refused them because the skis didn’t match. We never used them.
Update: the manager and I had a discussion and they’ve agreed to give us store credit. I’m happy with the overall outcome.”
“Steve killed it today. I showed up at 11am on a Tuesday and the store was busy for a midweek day. Nonetheless Steve picked the ideal set of options for me in minutes and the first one was the winner. Walked out 30 minutes later with the most comfy shoes I’ve ever run in. Wallet was a bit lighter though :)”

“I couldn't recommend Fast Splits enough! Yesterday I worked with Linda on a wetsuit fitting for an upcoming triathlon I am doing on Lake Michigan. Linda is fantastic and I truly had a personalized experience! I haven't worn a wetsuit in the open water before. She took the time to teach me the wetsuit basics, fit me, made sure I felt comfortable in the suit including taking it on and off, and taught me about wetsuit maintenance. I could truly see her passion in what she does and I am grateful for all the time she spent with me. I am confident I now have an investment piece for years to come and I'm very excited about getting more into open water swimming now that I have the appropriate gear and education! “This was my 1st time with Oriental Gateway & it will NOT be my last. I ordered my 1st Black Belt "Pr Force" uniform with the Tang Soo Do midnight blue trim. The lady helped me verify I was ordering the correct size--she was right!--. She did warn me that I would have to wait because it had been very busy. It was not only worth the wait but they made sure I received my uniform before the tournament where I needed to wear it. Thank you, Oriental Gateway! You're great! I'll be back again!!!”
“I love this skate shop! Craig is such a professional. He really knows his craft. My daughter recent got a new pair of edea ice fly skates and a new pair of Gold seal John Wilson Revolution blades at another location and needed her blade mount adjusted. Craig got us right in and adjusted her mount perfectly, efficiently and accurately. Her left skate feels so much better now. Thank you so much Craig!! We will be returning to your shop again soon. “While they didn't have what I was looking for (replacement gunwales for an old Mad River Canoe), Marc very promptly answered all my questions, gave me a bunch of good advice and redirected me to other shops in the area that might have what I needed. This was over several emails where it would have been very easy for him to just ignore me.
Once I get this canoe repaired, I'll be happily shopping here for any accessories that I need.”

“This place is great! Perfect for all ages! There’s at least 15 Lanes, I don’t know exactly, I just left for the first time. I’d recommend it to anyone! Weather your age 5-15ish they have slow speed pitching machines, also baseball pitching machines that probably go at least 80-85mph. BOOK AHEAD OF TIME! You’ll be way better off booking early because it does fill up on weekends, today I went with my niece, and I booked 1 hour. It’s $50 for 1 hour. Go and have a blast!”
“My husband and I were looking for new rackets after using our same old rackets for years. We were lucky to find Nett Strings when we were looking for tennis shops nearby. Don is extremely knowledgeable and guided us to pick out rackets that were best suited for what we were looking for. We got to test out the rackets he suggested for a few days before we made a decision which was great to get a feel for what we wanted. Highly recommend to anyone looking for tennis gear and expertise!”
