Miraculous Care for Our Cat at Fresh Pond Animal Hospital - Dr. Bonacordi is Exceptional! We recently took our cat to Fresh Pond Animal Hospital due to an issue with his back leg. Dr. Bonacordi was our savior in this distressing time. Opting for acupuncture under her guidance, we witnessed a remarkable improvement in just one session. Our cat, who struggled with basic movements like sitting, standing, and even during urination and defecation, can now walk and jump with ease.Dr. Bonacordi's approach is truly "cat first" and "feel cat." Her gentle manner and comprehensive care have not only comforted our cat but also brought immense relief to us as pet owners. Seeing our beloved pet suffer was heart-wrenching, and Dr. Bonacordi’s effective treatment has been a ray of hope.We are eagerly looking forward to the remaining sessions, confident that they will further improve his condition. Dr. Bonacordi is more than a veterinarian; she's a compassionate healer who genuinely understands and cares for animals. We are profoundly grateful for her exceptional care and highly recommend Fresh Pond Animal Hospital for anyone seeking outstanding veterinary care.

Fresh Pond vets are very inexperienced. What I will tell you is a saga of 2 misdiagnoses, 1 mis-prescription that involves 5 different vets, 3 of them from Fresh Pond. The 5 month saga: Dr. Knight misdiagnosed my dog, M., as having a yeast infection. It was really Staph. She prescribed a shampoo that only worsened her condition. Later, Dr. O'Reer correctly diagnosed it as Staph infection (confirmed by vet from different clinic ) but misprescribed an antibiotic that should not be applied to ulcerated wounds so M's condition worsened. I treated her at home using my own protocol and she improved but then started worsening - it was then I realized that my dog was having a reaction to the steroids in the antibiotic ointments. I was concerned an infection had started again and took her to see Dr. Rosenfelder. Although I had told her my dog had been having loose stools for a few days prior to the visit, Dr Rosenfelder misdiagnosed it as E. coli infection (E. coli is typical of feces). Two days later and after washing her skin with an antibacterial, a vet from another clinic found no bacteria present via microscopy. Dr Rosenfelder prescribed a very strong oral antibiotic that would have nuked by dog's GI tract. I have been treating with my own protocol for an irritated skin due to steroid use. She has been improving. Her skin has been cultured for infectious bacteria; results came in yesterday and she is clear so we will continue to deal with the slowly healing skin.

This clinic refuses to see my cat because she acted up one time when a technician wrapped her in a blanket against my advice and she freaked out. I no longer have a place to take my cat who I adopted right after the death of bunny, my previous cat, and who needed help right away Her name is boots. I adopted her from holly thrpugh mass vet. She was scary then but I kept her to keep her alive. She is the most wonderful and loving cat now I want to get her preventative care as she is getting older. I busted in on them when she had a uti. I don't want to wait till she is very sick to get her care but this is where I took my other cAts. I trusted them. I made a mistake on that one

The team here has been caring for our adult/elder dog for a few years now. The level of care and concern for our dog has been wonderful. The providers take the time to answer questions, discuss options, and make sure we have all the information we need to make informed decisions.During the first part of the pandemic, there were some issues and delays in communication and follow-up, however, I’ve noticed the team is much more responsive and communicative. I have a lot of confidence in the care here. Also, our pup hates car rides and being at any vet, so she’s usually pretty stressed leading up to the visit, but the staff here is always kind and does their best to make her feel comfortable.

So disappointed. I started coming to this vet when Dr. Schwartz came here. She has since left and I continued to come. My annual vet visit for my senior black lab was $700. At the time, I was told he needed to come back for his lepto booster in 3 weeks. The way it was presented was that it would just be a quick visit for just the booster and that it was already paid for. Fast forward to today when I brought him in for his booster. I was charged $83.50. Not only for the vaccine (which I can understand) but an additional $25 office visit. So his annual visit has cost us nearly $800. After speaking with many different dog owners, this is more than double what they pay annually with the same services. Sadly they have lost a loyal patient today.
