Doctor Binder is truly amazing! Her compassion and kindness for her patients goes beyond words I could explain. She talks to them as if they were her own. She is very honest and will not do unnecessary testing without discussing all pros and cons first. I travel over 30 minutes to bring my cats and dog to her. The staff in the office are so nice and overall the most perfect vet office in my opinion. The one or two times I urgently had to bring my cat in and Dr Binder wasn’t there, the other vet in the office was just as kind. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I cannot recommend Cushing Square Veterinary Clinic highly enough! From the moment I walked in with my dog, Andy, I was met with warmth and compassion from every member of the team. The front desk staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made the check-in process smooth and stress-free.
The veterinarians truly take the time to listen and understand your concerns. When I expressed my worries about my dog, they provided thoughtful insights that put my mind at ease. It's clear that they not only prioritize the health of the pets but also the well-being of their owners.
The vet techs were equally amazing, showing such care and empathy while handling my dog. Their professionalism combined with their compassionate approach made all the difference in our visit.
Additionally, I appreciate their convenient hours of operation, which fit well into my busy schedule. They are also incredibly responsive via phone and email.
Overall, Cushing Square Veterinary Clinic is a fantastic place for pet care. I am so grateful for the support and care they provided during a challenging time. Thank you, Cushing Square, for being such a wonderful resource for us pet parents!

Walked in today to ask about a consult. Didn’t make it past the front desk. Rude brush off I could ask a simple question.
Not impressed.

I cannot say enough great things about Cushing Square Vet. I have two dogs and two cats and recently moved from out of state and was looking for a new place for routine care for my fur babies. I have seen Dr. Alan Bodenmueller each time and he is so kind, so gentle, and all of my animals felt very safe around him (even my dog that is scared of men!)
I also want to mention how accommodating their staff has been to addressing concerns regarding my dog's family history of kidney disease getting additional testing and lots of reassurance. I also appreciate the front desk and vet techs for getting creative in the waiting room so that my reactive dog doesn't have to interact with other dogs. The vet techs had us wait and check out in one of the exam rooms to reduce stress on my dog, for this I cannot thank them enough!
I recommend this clinic to anyone in need of a new veterinarian.

Unfortunately we moved away, but I want to take a moment to recognize Cushing Square Vet and how awesome it was to have both my dog and cat under their care. They are very compassionate, responsive... would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet nearby.

This place has really gone downhill and I'm no longer a customer. I've (almost) never been treated so rudely by a business where I was the customer. The staff has turned over several times since I started going there in ~2017 (never a good sign), and the current staff seems focused on reprimanding their customers. They seem nice, until you share a concern or complaint, then they turn hostile. And, to be honest, the lead vet is a bit scatterbrained, her communication all over the map, and I have difficulty getting clear on exactly what's going on with my cats and what the plan going forward will be. When people use 1000 words, I find it difficult to get the main point. The facility is old (an old house), with small rooms and no visible modern equipment. If you have a mobility disability, even a sprained ankle, don't even think of going here. To go into the front door, you must navigate about a dozen stairs going uphill. I think there's a ramp in the back but I've never seen anyone use it, and you'd have to first find a parking space in the back (only two) and then make special arrangements to enter thru the cramped back room. If I were disabled, I would not want to be singled out in this way. And now I can finally tell Sammy's story. My sweet 3-legged boy was a client here in his later years and eventually diagnosed with lymphoma. As his symptoms progressed, I brought him to this vet for a sonogram (performed by a visiting vet, as they don't have the equipment). When I brought him home, his (one) back leg was injured, perhaps sprained, and he was dragging it behind him, using his front paws to propel him forward (THIS IMAGE WILL HAUNT ME FOREVER). The worst part was the diagnosis - the vet told me he had to be euthanized THE NEXT DAY. Taking their advice, I brought him back the next day for this to be done, but wondered how it had gotten this far with nobody realizing it. When I called Dr. B. a few days later, I tried to tell her about his back leg. I suspected that someone had loaded him back into his top-loading cat carrier without taking care to let him put the back leg down solidly (as he always did, for stability) before they dropped him in. I'm sure this was unintentional, but I wanted to let them know for future 3-legged kitties that this is important. On the phone with Dr. B, she IMMEDIATELY BECAME HOSTILE and shut down my concern within 3 seconds, saying in an angry tone "Well, that wasn't our fault!" I was so devastated, I just stopped and did not share this suggestion (until now). But I have never forgiven her for failing to LISTEN. And that's the main problem with this practice. They don't listen.

I got a recommendation to come here after having a horrible experience at another vet that left me in tears. They are extremely welcoming and upfront about the cost of procedures/ exams. Dr. Alan Bodenmueller treated my cat Punky with such warmth and understanding and he was extremely knowledgable and communicative about the dental work she needs done. I am so grateful to have found a vet I can trust!

Although I really enjoyed meeting the doctors and felt they gave my pets great care during visits it was EXTREMELY difficult to get follow-up care when one cat needed it. On multiple occasions I had to call several times over 2+ weeks before getting a call back with care advice from the doctor/prescriptions re-filled/etc. Reception staff was often rude. Ultimately had to switch vets to ensure timely care for my pets.

Initially I took my diabetic cat to Dr.S. Fantastic but she left Cushing. Next my cat saw Dr.B. Cat had a stroke over 1year ago. He suggested euthanasia but with PT she recovered. Past Nov I noted on home unit, blood glucose dangerously low. Vet said in remission? Left w/o treatment, watched her die, diabetic shock. Traumatic. Admin said owner wouldn’t talk to me; vet didn’t call either. Compassion? No. And admin added notes to med records post facto.

Past Nov on home blood glucose unit noted LO reading. Took her to Dr. B and he said remission? Left w/o treatment, home - I watched her die from diabetic shock. Traumatic for me and her. Admin Bonnie said owner would not to talk to me; vet didn't call either. Compassion? No. Ad admin added notes to her med records later to dispute my facts. Oh. Hospital manager said don't return. And bill reflected test for glucose but I brought the unit/strips to the vet clinic.
