after purchasing my BMW, i was especially weary about where i brought my car to be serviced. strictly utilizing BMW dealerships, i soon found myself burning money without really understanding what was going on with my car. full disclosure, i am just a girl working in healthcare, so i have not a single clue about cars. i asked around and a handful of my patients suggested Boston Motor Werks to me! after my first visit to the shop, which was intended to be a simple oil change/ service, we found some problems that needed to be addressed. rather than handing me a list of procedures and fees, Rob took the time to walk me through every single recommendation they had. he even reviewed photos to explain and educate me on what i was seeing. this was a HUGE change from what i’ve experienced in the past; Rob was honest and thorough (catching things even BMW dealerships didn’t), which i appreciated so much! very thankful for this experience, looking forward to working with Rob and his team moving forward! happy to have found a new -reliable- car home!

Rob Hanna and his team are amazing! If you own a German vehicle I recommend never going to a dealer after warranty expiration - go to Boston Motor Werks instead. They are the best independent and you will get:
1. Better workmanship because the technicians and Rob are experienced pros vs. dealer hacks or individual garages that don't know how to work on German vehicles
2. Better price/value because you're not paying for all of the dealer overhead
3. Learn much more about your vehicle and what matters and what doesn't matter.

Another great service from Boston Motor Werks.
I had the 23 year old suspension replaced on my 2001 Audi A4 as it was rusted from the New England winter road salt. This was a big job, requiring sourcing aftermarket parts. The work was performed masterfully by the passionate and true car enthusiasts at Boston Motor Werks. My car rides fantastic with the new suspension. I have been using them since moving to the Boston area and 100 % recommend them to take care of your beloved German import.

Rob and his team are the best. Whether I need a basic oil change or a complete tech inspection and new wheels and brakes for track day, Boston Motor Werks gets the job done RIGHT and with totally transparent and fair pricing. I am genuinely grateful to have a trusted partner who can help maintain our family’s cars and keep them in top condition. A well-maintained used car is vastly cheaper than a new car!

I have a BMW and had tried a few independent specialized BMW repair shops and also dealer repair shops. This place is the best among all. Very thorough diagnosis and fair prices, definitely cheaper than dealer repair shop, which is the worst, both in term of pricing and piling on unnecessary repairs.

After the ridiculous quote I received from the BMW dealership for my AC condenser, I decided to reach out to Boston Motor Werks and received a quote for half the price and immediate time slots for service. Was so happy with the customer service and they work they did on my BMW. Will definitely be using them in the future.

I called this shop to schedule an appointment, explained my issue, and they would not even look at my car because I had previously worked on it myself. I was pretty shocked by this and think it would be better for BMW owners to avoid going here.

Rob took time to thoroughly review my BMW X3 and discuss each proposed repair in details. I chose to have most done but also skipped a few, and there was no pressure regarding the items I skipped. He even suggested some helpful changes for the items I prefer to do myself. A+ overall experience!
