I was using Home Depot's "Behr" paint and ran short. So I went to the Bellingham Home Depot at 6:30 this evening to buy a quart and finish my paint job. There was one customer in front of me who had just dropped off a large paint order to be made up at the paint department. He told the clerk that he would return later on because this job order was going to take a while to complete. As soon as the customer left, the clerk greeted me and I started to tell him that I only needed a quart of paint, but before I could finish he rudely turned and walked away. After several minutes I walked down to the aisle where the young man was loading paint into a cart. I apologized for bothering him and politely explained to him that I only needed one quart of paint maid up and I would appreciate if he could do it first. He snapped his reply at me stating that he would take care of me, but only after he completed the first order. I left and walked over to the service desk after waiting there for a few minutes, I told a clerk that I was irate and needed to speak with the manager. She went into the back room and said that he would be out shortly. He never showed up and I left the store with smoke coming out of my ears. I've been shopping at Home Depot for decades and have never been treated this poorly. I'm sure that there are plenty of other hardware stores that would like my business.

If it was possible to give this no*so even a negative*I would recommend that. Do you need a Home Depot find one other than the one in Bellingham. The staff is rude. The store is dirty I would not recommend this location to anyone.

The Home Depot always offered 10% military discounts on everything except certain appliances without an annual limit. I went to checkout a week or so and noticed that my military discount had not been applied. I pointed this out and was told that they have reduced the purchase limit eligible for military discount to $400/year! The cashier explained that it was due to people cheating the system by purchasing merchandise for others with their discount. That works out to a generous $40/year maximum! The total to that time on my Pro Account was $153 short of the $5,000 that I needed to get a $50 "perk." I'm going to spend the final $153, but I'm certainly going to call Lowe's to see if they have instituted a similar limit. I have been shopping at the Bellingham, MA Home Depot for 21 years and with just a few exceptions over the years, staff members have been very friendly and helpful ....... when you can find them. I am extremely disappointed with the drastic reduction instituted by Home Depot corporate management over the military discount, and I plan to send them an email explaining exactly how I feel. I hope that other active and retired military personnel do the same. It's the principle of the thing, not necessarily the money. Thanks a lot, Home Depot, for your distrust of those who have served our country.

I needed to buy a Home Depot product and even though I have not shopped at a home depot since 2015 after I was rudely treated by a manager there I had no other choice. I went to buy some rigid power tools and was looking for a staff member to help open the case. There were some kids with home depot name tags showing each other stuff on cell phones and laughing. I started to walk towards them and they just all split off and went different ways, very helpful. I found a staff member to help me. I got what I needed and was immediately told I need to be escorted to the cashier. That is a surprise. I had several hundred dollars worth of more expensive stuff in my cart. But a few $49 power tools. I was told. "you might just walk out with this" That was the most derogatory stereotyping I have ever experienced at a tool shop. Absolutely disgusting. This bigot escorted me to the front. I said to the cashier. "Wow I like being being treated like a criminal, makes me want to shop here more" she said "well people that look like you just walk out with stuff" WHAT THE HECK?! I decided to only buy the two cheap $49 power tools and told them i'm no longer interested in buying the rest of the stuff in the cart. Maybe home depot should hire some security guards or allow employees to actually stop theft instead of treating people like criminals.Lowes, ACE, Koopmans and local contractor supply houses have never treated me like this. Don't shop here.

I tend to go back and forth between Lowes and Home Depot for various items depending on inventory and price etc. Home Depot usually has more inventory and prices are competitive. However, Lowes stores are notoriously cleaner, in better shape and less clutter and messes and the staff are more welcoming and easier to work with. This location is a disaster and I went there for simple Xmas yard decor and the staff here, although a few were somewhat helpful, others were rude and acted like they were doing me a favor. Plus the place is a mess and they have a serious nasty rat problem. I saw two large squirrel sized rats running through the garden center into the store as I entered which is both disgusting and unacceptable. Plus this location is constantly running out of inventory and its just an all around mess. Makes me not want to go back to a Home Depot for anything.

Went to HD to order a water heater - get to the store and an associate directs you to call this number. We place the call at 11:30 to take advantage of same day delivery. Unfortunately we went there on a Friday. Not available until Monday. HD promotes same day delivery if you call before noon. That didn’t happen. We get a verbal quote for $1058 + permit and other labor. Then I get the email quote of $1508. Plummer comes Monday morning and quotes us $1850. Does this sound fair to quote A $599 water heater installed and removal for $1850. And this is for a military veteran!! I call BS!

I made an online reservation for an equipment rental, which was cancelled with 3 hours of when I was to pick it up. This was incredibly inconvenient, so I called the store to see if I could try and confirm a new date and time for this rental. The gentleman who answered the phone, who didn’t give me his name, said there was no way to make a reservation over the phone, and I would have to reserve online again. I asked him what would prevent this happening again and he said “nothing, it could happen again” and when I tried to find a resolution to try and secure the rental he said twice, in a very terse manner “just make a reservation!”. This rude, abrupt conversation was so off putting that I have no plans to return to your store, even after spending thousands of dollars there over the last two decades. I’ll be shopping at local stores and your competitor one exit away. Again, I empathize with folks in customer-facing roles but this experience was so atrocious and egregious it needed escalation.

I reserved a cargo van one month in advance to use for moving out of my apartment. 14 hours before my rental, they cancelled my reservation. When I called, they said they did not have any cargo vans available and I was the third person to call about the cancellation (meaning they messed up two other rental orders). I am baffled they had a month to prepare for my rental and managed to mess it up. I am now scrambling to find a replacement to use tomorrow morning. In the past, I never had an issue with UHAUL but decided to give Home Depot a try this time around. I unfortunately learned my lesson and will be sticking with UHAUL for my moving needs going forward.

I had purchased a washing machine at Home Depot, have bought many appliances in the past and was very happy, but this time the washer was suppose to be delivered on a Thursday and they had given us a tracker so we would know when our stop was, just before our stop the truck supposedly broke down, which I don't believe and they told us that the next delivery was going to be the following Friday. I called the person that sold us the washer and she couldn't help, they were firm they could not move anyone else out to get our washer here any sooner, they could have cared less, no discount for the aggravation, next time I will go to Bellingham Electric and help the small businesses.

Junk. To much product in the sales floor. You have to squeeze by everyone in the isles in the back and front of the store. Product in random places which hinders mobility. Can hardly get to end caps. At least the guy who picks the play list know what songs to pick.

The younger woman in paint helped us A LOT this afternoon and was so patient and friendly with us. She definitely made our experience pleasant and even helped make our 7 gallon order extremely fast.
