Excellent service. My 47 year old sewing machine is humming along.

Incredibly rude customer service. I brought my antique sewing machine in (a gift from my late grandmother) to see if they could service it, but was talked down to and told it was a waste of their time to even try to find parts. The man working never made an effort to understand why I wanted it repaired, instead talked over me about why I shouldn't bother. I walked out and called a place in Charlton who was able to identify what was wrong with my machine in less than 5 minutes (including getting the motor running), and gave us a tour of their "sewing machine museum". It's worth the drive to Charlton to avoid Marion's rude customer service.

Not a single sewing machine in the store. Not even a demo. Waste of time.

I had a great experience here. I dropped my vacuum off on Friday night to be cleaned/serviced and it was done by Wednesday. They were so helpful with tips on how to keep my vacuum functioning and answered all of my questions. Such nice people! I’ll definitely be coming back here.

Visited today to inquire about a new machine for a specific use. The owner, Tom, was very knowledgeable and actually listened to my needs. They assemble their vacuums, so you don't have to deal with assembly, as with on-line ordering. I also brought a Miele that I had previously brought to another dealer in RI to be cleaned. That person told me the motor was burnt out and I needed a new one. It still ran when I brought it in, but it wouldn't even turn on when I picked it up. I explained this to TOM; in abut 20 seconds, he diagnosed the problem, and got it running. Doris was also, very pleasant and seemed eager to assist me. I left there feeling that they appreciated my business. Easy access and convenient parking.

After reading close to all the reviews from Marion's customers, I have decided not to bring my sewing machines (3) in for maintenance and repair. I always read review and I have learned the hard way that those customer reviews were right. Denise R.

Pretty upset. I paid $140 to have my machine repaired. The service was pretty awful. I was told it would take about a week to get back, unless they needed to order a new part. I called a full MONTH later wondering if I had missed a call or if they were waiting on a part, because it had been MUCH longer than anticipated and I hadn't had any updates on the status. The woman who answered was very confused, did not recollect me or my machine, and kept asking me if I mine was another brand machine, because she knew what was going on with a different machine. After hearing about what was wrong with the incorrect machine three times, I gave up. I figured I would get a call when it was ready, and waited another full month. At this point I was really antsy, so I called back AGAIN, and was met with the same cluelessness about my machine. She hung up and called me back to check on it after about 20 minutes of fumbling, talking about the OTHER machines and saying she didn't remember MY machine. When she finally called back, she said they were waiting on a new threader, which is fine, but honestly I had forgotten it needed a new one and wasn't one of the things I asked about when I brought my machine in. Another two weeks, and I got the call that my machine was ready. Finally!!! I brought it home, have had it for a week, and it stopped working AGAIN, as soon as I started sewing something. I am incredibly fed up, I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. I am going to call back about this, but do not have high hopes after reading other reviews. I really regret going here.

I brought my sewing machine to Marion's for service and was quoted 2 weeks for the tuneup. After the 2 weeks passed, I could not get in touch with anyone at the store. The phone rang unanswered. Google listed the store as "temporarily closed." Their website didn't work. I sent an email and a Facebook message to their page - both went unanswered. The store had no hours posted in the window. On my 3rd attempt at visiting the store during normal business hours, it was finally open. I was told that my sewing machine was not logged into their system, was not in the queue to be fixed, and it would be another 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks passed and the same issue happened. It was difficult to actually find the store open. I contacted the Bellingham Business Association to inquire about the status of the store. I was told it was still open but had varying hours. After over 4 weeks, I went back Marion's to inquire about my sewing machine. It STILL wasn't fixed! The owner simply handed my sewing machine back and said "take it." Terrible attitude. Terrible business. Terrible customer service. Terrible "system" for keeping records. No phone. No website. No response to emails or Facebook messages. No. No. No. No. Go elsewhere. If a ZERO star option was possible, Marion's would have gotten that. Customers beware!8/9/2020: Edited in response to owner's replyI absolutely was NOT given a copy of the ticket I filled out upon dropping off the machine, nor was I told the store was closed, nor that the machine could take up to 4 weeks. The man who took my machine seemed annoyed to even speak to me. He didn't asked what was wrong with the machine. He simply handed me a me ticket to fill out and told me 2 weeks. I had to prompt him to write down what needed to be fixed. I didn't hear anything after two weeks and couldn't get in touch with anyone at the store. After visiting the store several times, I finally happened to find the store open. I was told that my machine hadn't been put in the rotation for work and it would be another 2 weeks because the repair person had taken time off. At this point, I was given a torn piece of notebook paper with a number written on it and a return address label as my "receipt" and a new estimate of another 2 weeks. After the next 2 weeks passed, the machine still wasn't serviced. You had my machine for over 4 weeks and it wasn't serviced at all. You couldn't even give me a new estimate at that time, so yes, I was annoyed and took it back to be serviced elsewhere. This store owner is lying to justify poor customer service. Had I been told that my machine would've taken 4 weeks up front, I never would've left it there in the first place!

I love this sewing machine shop! I drive up from East Providence to have my sewing machine serviced here. I bought it from Marion's a few years ago. It's a beautiful machine and the woman that sold it to me was so very helpful! It was a very big purchase for me as it was a big step up from my first machine. I wanted one to last me for years and that would stand up to hours of sewing. She sold me one that would do exactly that! And more! I love the ridiculous amount of stitches it can do and do them so smoothly! I sent it in to be serviced last week and it was awful having to use my back up machine as I've been spoiled! There are places much closer to me that I could go to have it serviced but I trust Marion's and wouldn't take it anywhere else. It's worth the drive for me.

Awful experience!! Do NOT go to this store! They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The women working in the store was rude, degrading and belittling. I had taken my vacuum in to be repaired and walked out without having it done due to the poor customer service. Not to mention this is a repair they supposedly fixed a couple months prior. I am amazed that they are still in business after reading similar reviews. No customer should ever be treated the I was today!! I would rate them a 0 if possible.

I love this store! The people who own it and work there are friendly, knowledgeable and patient. I have bought 2 embroidery and one sewing machine from them and have been pleased with the service and product support they offer. I have been sewing for 40 years but I was just beginning my work with machine embroidery and they have helped me every step of the way. I highly recommend this store - and I would much rather give my business to them than to the big chain stores.

I brought my Dream Machine here for repair and had a great experience. My machine was ready for pick-up ahead of the promised date and when I got it home it ran better than new. Price was reasonable for full service and repair and service was friendly.
