I've been going to this post office since the 70s. Now I live here in the village with my family, and we are very thankful for the service this office provides. I'm especially grateful for the handling and delivery of my recent HEAVY boxes by the postmaster, and to Ron who is always friendly and kind to our daughter when we stop in. We have lived in Barnstable Village for 20+ years and use the PO’s services daily. Every single interaction has been positive and efficient. The employees are welcoming and warm and the Post Office has become the hub of the village.Cape Cod hosts international tourist all summer and is home to a large retired population. As a result, many of the PO’s customers are elderly or have language challenges. I have always been so impressed by the gentle and kind way that the postal workers treat their customers. They are, quite simply, the best.

Having the staff here makes it an even better location to live in. They’re nothing but friendly, informed and resourceful. I give these guys 5 stars and would do so endlessly!

The worst post office I have ever encountered. The male worker is especially rude and goes out of his way to make things difficult for you. I in turn will go out of my way to go elsewhere rather than having to deal with this post office. It's very sad because the village is such a charming place. I used to love going to the post office and have breakfast next door, or pick up dinner at Barnstable Market. Since we try to avoid this post office, we hardly spend much time at the other stores. This is not a new issue (4-5 years), but you would think by now they would try to improve their customer service.

The postal workers here are extremely rude, have a bad attitude and are disrespectful to their customers. They talk down to the people they are suppose to be providing customer service to, cut people off mid-sentence and are an absolute nightmare to work with. I just overheard the postal worker rudely tell the old lady in front of me that they aren't handling passports until 1:30 PM. When I get to the counter I tell the guy "I just heard you say you are not processing passports right now but I was wondering if I could pick up the paperwork for mine" when he cut me off and with a tremendous amount of attitude say "I said we aren't doing passports until 1:30". This was at 11:00 AM. At this point I have lost it with this man and had to dig into him and alert him that it is currently 11:00 AM and he made it very clear he doesn't process passports until 1:30, which means he currently isn't processing passports. This post office is an absolute nightmare. All of its employees should be fired immediately and publicly shamed for their horrible support.
