The Old Village Store may soon be a memory. The 7Gs liquor store is opening a market that will carry all of the items that we carry, including breakfast sandwiches, etc. we cannot compete with the new market, which is being opened by the 7Gs owners daughter. The owner has unlimited funds since he sold his store in Dennis. We have exhausted all of our finances trying to stay open for the community during the pandemic. We are now in a position that requires us to either sell the store ( if we can) or declare bankruptcy. Thanks to the town of Barnstable for, once again, screwing over the small guy.

If you care about your health, do not patronize this store. Mask-wearing is not enforced in any way. There was a man, totally maskless, in the store today for quite some time while I was there. No employee confronted him. I have witnessed the employees themselves with masks not covering their noses. The sign that says "masks are required" is utterly meaningless. I have reported them to the board of health and will never patronize this store again.

This was my go to place right own the road from my house. But they did break my heart and spiked the prices up. But just because I have respect for them it's a 5 star place.
