Al Amir is top notch. This year I had a W2 job and started my own company which led to my taxes being more complicated than most. Al Amir was patient and thorough with answering all of my questions as a new business owner. He also provided me with tips to help save on future taxes and better ways to document my expenses. He is so good that I have recommended him to everyone in my family! His costs are about average with other companies that I reached out to, but his patience and thoroughness was amazing.

Absolutely unacceptable in every conceivable way. I called due to the wonderful reviews online and needed help with tax information that was related to inheritance, gift tax. I was met on the phone with rushed condescending questions one after another by the man claiming to "having 20 people on hold" and "Im already taking up too much of his time at 7minutes, because he only ever spends 5 min on any phone call" after he asked about my situation which I had flat out explained was a bit complicated due to my Mother being very ill & I really needed guidance figuring out taxes with my family inheritance. He interrupted me on a very short call by cutting me off and demanding fast answers which I started the conversation by saying it was complicated. I was confused. His demeanor was unbelievable, and hard to believe he has any experience and especially with 5 star reviews. I would have been happy to pay him for his precious time yet he repeatedly told me verbatim "I only give 5 min on the phone". I told him thank you for your help and closed the call. I need advice on gift tax Im receiving from my 80yr old dying mother after selling a family home. Im not asking for anything free. I told him Id be happy to pay, even. He could have set up an appointment or said if its too complicated to call a different accountant. He did not. I hate writing bad reviews. I rarely do. I did call back to tell him I was going to do so, and was in tears because My baby died and am living in poverty right now waiting on a large sum of money in a 300sqft apartment due to having to sell my home(which I told him)& REALLY need help with the taxes & what to do. Im shaking writing this review. Im a nice person who is struggling to go day to day. Perhaps he is only getting reviews for helping others with their tax returns. That is fine, but he could have just taken a few minutes to tell me he was ill-equipt and maybe even steer me in the correct direction. If you need a person that is caring and can give you more than 5 minutes on a call, This is not your person. You can't treat people in a way that makes them literally break down when you are a professional and be apathetic about the loss of a baby and needing to get the money & tax info and it taking more than 5 min. Just remember you never know what people are going through & you as a professional need to listen & take the time to set up an appointment or refer them to someone more competent. Im trying so hard and this 7 minute call was nothing but a slap in my face. I could and would never treat another human this way. Sometimes things are more difficult than you can handle & that is perfectly fine, but 7min is not "far too long" and lying about having "20 people on hold" to someone in a vulnerable place, it shouldn't be difficult to just be human. Can't we treat each other with kindness and compassion? Here the answer is clearly, NO

I hate taxes & I don't understand them & so when I had amendments, I felt like everything was going to fall apart. Especially since I am a foreigner in the US. However Al-Amir, was so kind & gracious & handled all my taxes. he answered all my questions. he is SUPER honest, because he gave me a ton of info where I probably could have managed my taxes on my own (& not pay him!) but I chose to work with him instead. FYI, i called MANY places before this one & they all told me to get lost because it was tax season & they couldn't take on more clients. Not these guys, though! Highly recommend. don't waste your time going anywhere else.

If you need a CPA who can turn your taxes around quickly, Alamir can get the job done. Always very amiable, Alamir is the consummate professional. His rates are higher than other CPA's that I've used, but with other less expensive CPA's I have had to wait several weeks and not received return calls. Alamir is also aggressive about finding your return opportunities, but cautious about maintaining the full integrity of your return.

I can say enough good things about Al Amir and his team at Hajiani. They're amazing. When I first met Al, my tax situation was a total mess: he helped me get everything in order and back on track. He was patient and reassuring and I never felt judged for how disorganized I was. He totally saved me, and since then, whenever thorny tax issues have come up, Al and his team have been there for me. When people ask me if I know a good accountant, I tell them I know the best accountant in Boston, and to drop everything and call Al. Multiple times, those people have come back to me and said, "I can't thank you enough for telling me about Al Amir. He's completely saved me." So, let me say the same to you... If you're looking for an accountant, drop everything and call Al. You won't regret it, I promise. And years later, when people ask if you know a good accountant, you'll be able to "save the day" for them too by telling them to get in touch with Al & his team.

I couldn't have been more pleased. It was important for me to find a qualified CPA that would take the time to do my taxes correctly and offer me sound financial advice, Al Amir was able to do just that. I called last minute and he made time to do my taxes. He took time out explaining tax law to me and was extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Al is more than a CPA. He is has complete understanding of how business works. He is intimately knowledgeable about small business. He has the uncanny ability to communicate at whatever level the client happens to be at - inexperienced to very mature.

Al Amir is a valued mentor with SCORE. He has spoken at a general workshop on accounting practices for small businesses and was very well received. He has a good, practical grasp of the accounting matters that small and medium sized businesses face and communicates very well.
