I need to thank you! The driver (I don't know his name) but he towed my 5 week old car with care. He was an hour early so I got to work on time! Thank you so much!!

I had a truck break down (water pump) on a Sunday night in Centerville while on vacation. I called AAA and they use Davis Towing. I spoke with Peggy at 10:30pm and she suggested I wait until morning to find a shop that would take the truck (after confirming the truck was parked safely). The next morning, we scheduled the pickup for 8:30am. I had to call back twice to postpone as I could not find a dealership that would work with someone on a vacation timeline - appointments were 2 to 3 weeks out. Peggy patiently worked with me and then suggested Tirrell Radiator. She said to mention Davis wen I called. Tirrell took the truck and repaired it the same day! Thanks to Peggy - the 15 people we have here at the Cape could get on with our vacation!

I waited four hours for my car to be towed with no updates from the company. When I was finally called I was told that I would have to wait another 45 minutes. I was told I was low priority, the dispatcher told me she had a very long day and then decided to cancel my order. Unprofessional, poorly manned company with substandard employees.

Gosh, these guys seriously bailed me out. Big time. I had found a cute little beachy area with a nice view of Hyannis Harbor, where I could sit in my car and watch the ferries headed to the Vineyard. I then realized that if I drove out closer to the beach I'd have a nice view of the Kennedy compound. Next thing I knew, my battery was dead. (Note to self, turn off the headlights and radio and unplug the phone next time). I called AAA for service. These guys found me. I had no clue where I was. Just by using their GPS from the AAA app. And calling me to confirm that I was not on a road or even visible from a road. They found me. They started my car. They ran a bunch of battery tests. They were able to confirm that I had just had a blonde moment and I did not have serious battery issues. I hope I never have to see these guys again. But if I need to call them again, I feel confident that they will be able to find me!

About 10 years ago my mother was parked in a (legal) spot on the side of BHS's back road waiting for my brother to get out of football practice with me in the car with her. A Davis truck pulled up to tow the car in front of us for being illegally parked. Instead of simply asking my mother to move, I watched and listened to him threaten her to move out of his way or he'd tow her instead. Today, their reputation in my mind was reconfirmed. I've watched them struggle at accidents before and drag cars over pillars, rip parts off when trying to pull them onto the bed, and otherwise get them stuck, shutting down roads for way longer than is necessary. Today, they proved to me that they are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to towing companies. Carl arrived to tow my girlfriend's car to a shop since it had died and wouldn't start. Car was in a safe spot, a parking spot in the Cape Cod Mall parking lot. He tried to pull the car onto the bed and it dropped the connection and began rolling away. He then decided to yell at my girlfriend and blame the incident on her, resulting in her calling off the tow and calling back AAA to send a different truck, her car now in the middle of the driving alley and her stress through the roof. Luckily Davis sent a supervisor who knew what he was doing to come and do what Carl was clearly incapable of. Bottom line: Don't call Davis if you value yourself or your car. Plenty of better companies out there who will get you moving and treat you right.

I recently broke down on a busy main road in Barnstable. The car, which is a hybrid, just died completely; not even the emergency flashers worked. I just made it to barely the side of the road and was causing serious issues for traffic. I called AAA and reported the problem and said it could be considered an emergency. Within 10 minutes of intermittent verbal abuse a Davis driver had me out of there and on my way to the garage. Everyone I contacted from AAA was great and professional but especially the driver of the tow truck. First of all he calmed me down, commiserated with me on the lack patience and courtesy of the passing traffic and their raised middle fingers and had me on my way in minutes. He did a perfect job.

I have AAA. My car broke down. I was sad. I called AAA. They sent a tow truck from Davis to come help. The truck arrived within 10 minutes. The driver Dylan was incredibly professional and friendly. He had me feeling better about my situation immediately. The car was safely secured to the truck within 3 more minutes. He knew the area well and got me and my car back to my house quickly and safely. The whole process took less than a half hour from the time he showed up to the time I gladly tipped him as he left. Dylan is a pro. The tow took less time than being on the phone with AAA. Thank you Davis and thank you Dylan!

Broke down today and needed a tow. Called AAA, who called Davis. Driver arrived in allotted time but told me that he would load the car on the truck his way or not at all. I suggested that I would point out the "Factory approved" attachment points, but he replied that he had been towing cars all his life and began suggesting attachment points that would damage the car. I informed him that he was right about one thing, my vehicle was not to be loaded on his truck. A complete waste of my time. I called Capeway, a professional driver arrived and promptly and easily loaded the car using the "Factory approved" attachment points!

Called AAA for a dead battery in 20 degree weather with a 6 and 2 year old and they sent Davis Towing. I asked the driver to replace the battery and was told he was a jump and go guy. I stood next to him as he called the office to send someone with a new battery. 30 minutes later another guy shows up and tells me it was called in as a jump. I explained and he said sorry it was called in as a jump. I called and got a useless receptionist who reiterated that it was called in as a jump. I explained AGAIN and she could have cared less. I received a call 10 minutes later from a manager and she was more concerned about how I talked to her receptionist. Talked over me the entire conversation not willing to listen at all. Sorry if I'm upset when my car is dead with 2 small children and you talked over me every chance you got. Useless! Run don't walk from this place. I have lodged a complaint with AAA and the BBB.

Friendly folks, good auto body work. I called many shops and they were able to start work almost immediately and finish the following week (weeks ahead of other estimates). No surprises. Thank you Davis.

My husband, mistakenly, parked in a tow zone last weekend. We immediately called, and arranged for a friend to bring us to Davis Towing. The tow truck driver was nasty and rude. We waited for another driver to open the gate, who was also nasty. They insisted on cash only. After having our vehicle for under 30 minutes they charged us $90 for the tow, $6 for fuel, $35 for storage, and $35 to open the gate. The math is $166. We received two receipts, one from each driver, for $131. Where did the other $35 go? My guess, the drivers pocket. If you need a tow company, call someone else! They are gouging, and robing the community!
