Very good, they registered me by telephone before the operation, I went to undergo all the tests that are needed for surgery on the day of the surgery, which was May 9, I went directly to the outpatient surgery floor, this is my second surgery at this hospital and the I really have nothing to say, attention is. Excellent as well as the doctors, nurses and all the staff, they do not hesitate to assist me whenever I need it.

Not a hospital, this place is a joke… honestly.. avoid it! If I’m gonna wait hours to get treated I rather go to a real hospital ..

I just want to express my indignation at the terrible "service" at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, in Ayer MA. My wife arrived there with intense pain (number 10) and they left her waiting for almost three hours in the waiting room, claiming there was no bed to treat her. We decided to go home to try another appointment somewhere else tomorrow. It's simply inhumane.

I went to Nashoba hospital on Wednesday 5/8 where I was diagnosed with a ruptured ovarian cyst. I was sent home and told to control pain with Tylenol and a heat pad. 8 hours later, the pain was intensified, so I took myself to a different hospital for a second opinion. I not only did NOT have a ruptured cyst, but I had a tumor that was in complete torsion around my ovary. Avoid Nashoba at all costs. This could have been a deadly misdiagnosis if I did not listen to the signs my body was giving me.

Brought my dad here, he has kidney stones. They just gave him pain meds and sent him on his way. Went to layhey in burlington a day later, they wound up having to put a stint in him surgical and said Nashoba valley should have not only given him something to help break up the stone but also told him how big it was. The stones a quarter of an inch btw. Layhey also said they have a track record of not having the best communication with Nashoba valley medical center and trying to get my dads records would be like pulling teeth. I also was staying with my dad because not only is he in so much pain he couldnt talk but im also autistic, i can not be alone, i go to stand outside the bathroom to wait for him when they asked him to pee in a cup and this nurse with the rudest attitude I've ever heard said "uh you need to turn around and go back to the waiting room. He'll be back". I said nothing and just stared because surprise surprise i also have selective mutism. The only redeeming factor as to why there's 2 stars is the nurses. They were so sweet, funny and patient with my dad. I hate to say this but if it's not a life or death situation and you can stand the drive just go to another hospital. This one just doesn't seem right.

Called 5 times, got put on hold 5 times, and got hung up on 5 times in a row within the same 30 min. Very unprofessional way to treat your patients. 5 time in a row with different call center people is definitely no accident but intentional. Extremely disappointed in the way they handled that situation.

I was recently seen at Nashoba hospital for a dislocated shoulder. I must say that this one experience made an impression on me!I was so elated with how fast things went as i was in a lot of pain. The nursing staff was absolutely incredible. "Ryan Roy" was kind, professional, and provided clear expectations. This guy is great, and you can tell he loves what he does because it shows in his thoughtfulness and attention to detial.Every person i encountered that night was caring, thoughtful, and professional. I had a great experience at a Nashoba hospital which which is in stark contrast to the experience I had at another hospital 2 days prior. The whole process took maybe two hours but was thoroughly impressed with Nashoba from top to bottom. I highly recommend due to their timeliness and quality of the care.

This review is for the ER. Lots of improvements needed. I see patients with serious urgent care waiting for a long time and not getting immediate needs. There seems to be no urgency from staff, too layback and some there need a little more compassion than others. The nurses do not seem to check in on patients and provide updates. I can see why the low rating at this ER and hospital potentially going out of business. Sad to see the patients here having to wait so long. I’m feeling first hand our broken healthcare process & systems. Hoping other ERs in MA are a little bitter. Not sure if this is the culture or environment at this ER or the effect of low funding, lack of staffing or better leadership. Hope things will improve there soon for patients.

This is the WORSE hospital myself and others have EVER BEEN TOO!! The nurses. There's no words to describe how un professional they really are. I wish one of the outside uppermanagement of the hospital or the new owners coming soon would consider checking in. That place in ayer,ma is sickening!!!. Should be condemned! You say health care?. We say a joke. Unprofessional. If you really want health care go somewhere else!! Everybody in that Ayer,Ma hospital needs to be FIRED! NOT LET GO!.

I have been waiting here 5 hours for my brother to be seen by a physician due to active bleeding and I and my mother was just kicked out for updating my brother on what’s going on outside in the waiting room. A baby that was like maybe 7 months was told he had to have hours wait and was forced to leave to find better care somewhere else! I suggest if you have a real emergency you seek treatment elsewhere this place is a joke! And all nurses and doctors are incompetent! I feel for any people who come for medical treatment you’ll probably die before you are seen! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND FINDING SOMEWHERE ELSE TO FINF BETTER TREATMENT

Great staff, quick care. In and out of the ER in around 2 1/2 hours including triage, imaging and blood draw.

Had an issue with the ED. Contacted the president’s office, as that was in the complaint process under patient’s rights. Got no where. They supposedly passed my information to the patient advocate, who stated she only got my second message. Was told by the patient advocate that she would be presenting my issues this coming Friday. Called her to tell her something, only to find out she is on vacation until next week. Then why was I told this Friday? Called the president’s office and was blown off there. No call. They don’t want to fix things. If they did, they would take a moment to actually speak to a patient who had a bad experience. I feel horrible for any elderly patient that goes here and doesn’t know how to navigate the system. It’s been 8 days. 8 days of just trying to speak with someone or have my issues heard.I wouldn’t bring my dead dog to this place. They truly DO NOT CARE. I’m waiting for a call from the Department of Health to report the issues. Sad I have to go this route…would have rather had it dealt with at the hospital level…but Nashoba Valley Medical Center made that impossible to do…because, again, they don’t care!Update: the head of the ER called me this morning. What a joke. That man likes to listen to himself speak. I had him on speaker phone the entire time with my husband listening. First thing he said to me was “I'm calling because I was told you have called multiple times”. No kidding. Maybe if someone had actually returned my call 8 days ago, we could have spoken like adults and gotten to the root of the issue. But what he did was get on the phone and then was immediately telling me he had to get off the phone…several times. He is one of those people that asks you questions, but doesn’t let you get a word in to actually answer the question he asked. He was more concerned that I hurt the ER doctor’s little feelings when I called him out and said I felt that my pain/issue was being dismissed because I was female.I hung up on him. He was probably still talking to himself when I did so. My husband looked at me and apologized for all men for the treatment that he has had to witness over the past week and a half by their misogynistic behavior. My husband who has never had to bring me to the emergency room in all the years we have been together. My husband who literally told every one in the emergency room he had never seen me in the state I was in. Never. Not one mention of what I reported my pain as in my notes. But had no problem saying I was hyperventilating, had poor eye contact and was moaning. Typical. I can pretty much guarantee these words would not have been utilized if I was male. I was experiencing the worst pain I have ever had in my entire life. Maybe you should have documented that instead.I mean, I’m sorry about the waste basket I had to throw up in, in the waiting room, because I was ignored when I said I was going to be sick. But thank heavens you got my insurance and street address! Phew! Because despite the fact that I was in so much pain I couldn’t breathe…I was worried that you wouldn’t be able to bill my insurance for the poor care. That would have been tragic. Next time don’t let the desk secretary make decisions on what is an urgent issue.I didn’t have a problem giving all of my insurance…but it could have been done bedside after I was brought back. Clear violation of patient rights.Thankfully I knew something was wrong and got myself into a surgeon’s office the very next day despite not having a referral. A surgeon who listened with compassion and concern and justified the extreme pain my particular issue can cause. Had surgery the day after.I hope everyone heeds this warning. Please do not go to this ER. Please do not allow your loved ones to go to this ER. I have heard stories before, but didn’t believe them…until I had to deal with this hospital myself. Never again. Mark my words. I will make it my life’s mission to ensure no one I love or anyone that will listen, goes here to be treated.Do better.
