I’ve been to a few different animal medical clinics and this is by far the most clean and reliable veterinary clinic around! The staff is amazing and extremely helpful, not only that but I’m in and out in a timely manner every single time!

This is a very caring group. They are gentle with animals, smart about figuring out problems (because animals don't talk!), and all of the staff is cheerful and helpful. And after an appointment, they always follow up with a call to see how things are going. The Thrive insurance option has been very helpful. It saves us a lot, including nail trims. I have a big dog, and I'm not trimming his nails! Highly recommend them. Obi-Woof Kenobi (Obi for short) wags his tail, instead of tucks it between his legs. Happy dog, happy Dog-Mom.

The tech staff is gentle and caring and Dr. Orzec is knowledgeable and kind. No pressure to do unnecessary testing, just what's needed based on my dog's condition. Great veterinarian!!

This company is unfavorable to deal with. I had asked for a quote on spring wellness check and it was $420, I had to cancel due to this exorbitant pricy quote. I needed to order from their online pharmacy and had technical difficulties. Ayer Animal Medical Center said they would order for me and I could pick it up there. No mention was made of price. When it came in I was told it was $57.07 and if I didn't want to pay that price I could leave it. Previously I had received this same order delivered to my home for $34.69. They deliberately jacked up the price to $57.07 for 5 lb. of dog food. They knew I was all out so felt free to rake me over the coals for $22.38 more than it really cost. I needed a new script for the food I will ad. These people aren't nice so I would like others to be sure and confirm your pricing. on goods and services.

This was my first visit and I was thrilled with the time the doctor took with my 10 old German shepherd. She spent the time to hear my concerns they called me with blood results and really reassured me and my family that she is doing just fine as a senior dog. I felt relieved and very satisfied ❤️

Always attentive, always able to get us in. The thrive program covers office visits to the vet if your furbaby is a frequent flyer due to any ailments… just an fyi…

Anyone that is looking for reviews before taking their pet to this location, please be warned!
I am a first time pet owner and I took my dog in for a 1st visit. I had called ahead to ask about pricing and I was told that signing up for their thrive membership would mostly cover the first bill so I did that beforehand. At the visit, I did not have any X-rays, shots or medication prescribed but the visit overall went smoothly. The issue was with the cost and the attitude of the receptionists… I was told by the receptionists from a previous call that the first visit could be around $200-$300. I was prepared for that amount. What I did not expect was $800 charge… when I asked why a first visit was that high when I also had the thrive membership, the answer I was given was that prices fluctuate based on the needs of the pet. Reminder, I did not have any xrays or shots taken! I thought that was astronomically high!!! I asked about the payment plans since they have adverts all around the office, only to be told my visit does not qualify for one…. I asked to speak with a manager because the pricing did not sound right to me. Only to be told that the manager was at their sister location. Then the receptionist got a bit nasty when I asked for the phone number of the sister location. Her response, “ Well I’m sure, the manager won’t like that I just give out her location to random strangers”.
This response rubbed me the wrong way. To avoid an outburst, I asked that the manager give me call. I paid the bill and started looking for different vets instead. I made up my mind that I would not be returning to Ayer. My decision was the same a week later when I did not receive any communication from the manager. At this point, I believe that I was heavily overcharged and all I asked for was a breakdown of why my bill was so high. I write this as a warning for new pet owners. This “business” is truly just a business where your pets are soul less transactions. You have better options out there.
They are quick to take your money and promote their shady practices. Who knows what they did was the extra funds because I still believe that $800 is way too much for a first time visit.

Extremely disappointed by the service and care of this place! Their prices are 3x more than well respected hospitals in Boston! Not worth it
