“We had our wedding reception on 1/27/24 at the Villa. I don't even know where to really start on our experience. It was much more than I would've expected. Exceptional all the way around. The rooms and grounds are beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing. These are only overshadowed by the staff and service. They are more than five star from planning to execution. We planned our wedding in five months. The communication and guidance through the entire process gave me and my wife to focus on other things. I felt after the first meeting that we were definitely in good hands. Meredith and the team were so easy to work with. We also had some last minute fumbles getting our decorations to the venue. Meredith stayed later and also secured some extra time with another associate for next day to complete our setup. When we arrived for the reception everything went smooth and seamless from part to the next. We had a lot of moving parts and the staff hit every mark. We have received so may compliments from our guests and vendors. Again...professional, reliable, and friendly staff. I highly recommend the Villa At Ridder for weddings, receptions, etc...”
“We had my daughters Sweet 16 here and everything went perfect.. Everyone was so nice and they really know how to treat people. I felt like we had a connection. I would recommend this venue to all my family and friends. “Amy and Jen were INCREDIBLE to work with! They provided a sense of calm during stressful moments of wedding planning and instilled confidence that they would implement all of our details perfectly. The Tirrell room is beautiful and provided tons of room for our 150 person wedding. Our guests raved about the taste and quantity of food as well as the efficiency of the bar & wait staff. Amy and Jen were always responsive to texts and emails and gave us guidance based on our wants/needs, never pressuring us to make any decisions based on money. I would recommend this venue to anyone.”

“We had our Valentines Day Wedding at The Endicott Estate! It was a small wedding, no more than 40 guests. It was perfect!We hired an outside caterer and bar service because the Estate does not offer that service. We also hired The Jest Murder Mystery Co. for our entertainment - which was a big hit! All of our guests loved this!The house is stunning. We didn't spend a dime on decorations simply because the house was such a perfect backdrop for photos. The Estate staff is very nice and very accommodating.Advice:You are renting just the house for a short time, plan accordingly. I highly recommend using a Day of Coordinator and plan to visit the Estate with them and your photographer prior to the event.”

His enthusiasm, knowledge, and appreciation of this exquisite estate and grounds make the experience that much more enjoyable. It is beautifully decorated for Christmas. “I love photographing weddings at the Bradley Estate! It’s this tucked away little gem of a wedding venue. Eleanor Cabot Bradley lived there starting in 1945 and it’s now a Trustees property open to the public. They can accommodate 80 guests inside the mansion or 180 under the tent. Around every corner is a beautiful piece of history that makes for a great backdrop for photos.”

“Stacy, Drew, and the entire Canoe Club staff were nothing but exceptional throughout the entire process of our wedding. It is a long, somewhat overwhelming process, and they did nothing but calm us down and make us feel so at ease with everything. The actual wedding day went about as smoothly as we could have ever imagined, and it was truly a magical day. All that time spent worrying about little things when we really didn't need to, all thanks to the awesome staff at the Canoe Club! I would recommend the Canoe Club to anybody and everybody! “I'm biased. I'm a knight. That said, the recently renovated function hall, lounge and game room offer superb venues for functions ranging from club meetings, to anniversaries to weddings. With 2 bars and a full kitchen and side rooms, it has everything you need for a grand affair in style. Plenty of parking and conveniently located on route 18 in Whitman, these function spaces have it all.”
“This place is free and runs on donations. I came with my family of 5, and it was nearly empty, which shocked me during February break. It is Beautiful!!!!! I feel like people must not know about this place. It is a gem. Perfect for kiddos to go check out bc it isn't too big and overwhelming. We went to see "The Red Dress," which was gorgeous ?. Definitely take some time to stop by. You won't regret it! I can't wait to go back when it's beautiful out to explore the outdoors, too! Give a little donation, whatever you can, or not! It's not required. There is no reason not to go to The Fuller Craft!”
“I rented the function hall for a celebration of life and it was awesome. Carol was amazing with giving me the run down of the rules and helping out. The bartender was great. She was so nice and everyone had a great time. I received my deposit as soon as I was done with clean up. I'll be back and I'll probably be joining the club. “I came for a babyshower. It seems like there was a lot of miscommunication with the hoat and the venue owner. Sodas are a dollar. I didnt get alcohol. Didnt like how the bar tender just walked off with one of the toddlers and walked him to the bar side to show him things he shouldnt see god forbid he ran off over there in the mids of the whole party cause lets be serious, we all know how toddlers can be just taking off”
“We had our wedding reception here this past weekend. I can’t say enough good things. Venue is lovely with a mahogany framed room for the cocktail hour. Very Boston Brahmin and classy. The Ballroom for our dinner and dancing was elegant. Service was impeccable, passed hors d’oeuvres and buffet were outstanding. Planning, communication and coordination ahead of time was all that you could hope for. I highly recommend for your next function.”
“I attended a wedding here over the summer. The venue was very spacious and beautiful. The grass and flowers were well kept. However, the food was not good. Very under seasoned, and the salmon that I ordered was still raw in some parts. The drinks were good, and the bartenders were friendly.”
“Just got home from the 100th Anniversary Gala at the Dedham Community House and walking through the front door after not having been there for over 3 DECADES, I was rocketed back to the days of my youth when I spent a great deal of time at D.C.H. The fellowship of the event was palpable and the pride in the principles that D.C.H. encompasses is inspiring. The outgoing director of 15 years, Michelle, introduced the new incoming director, who has decades of experience in non profit programs and knows and understands the missions and goals of Dedham Community House).I went to preschool here and I was both nurtured and gently disciplined so that I could LEARN and the wonderful teachers helped form me into the human being that I am today. I went to Dedham Community House summer camp from age 6 to age 12. I made some of my closest friends during those summers days at camp. I learned teamwork, scheduling and routine, listening to directions, sports, crafts, and empathy and compassion for others. I wouldn't trade those days for anything. It's so wonderful to know that D.C.H. is still a place for children to go to be safe and guided. D.C.H. is an important part of our community and I am sure it will be here and thriving 100 years from now. ???”
