Let me start by saying that the staff at this facility is wonderful and that is the only reason that I am giving a 1-star review. This is a post about my brother's storage unit. He is disabled and has been a customer at this facility for many years, renting a 10x10 unit. 3 months ago he was going to close the unit, as the cost of the unit got to be too high. Like most companies nowadays, they have people lock, stock, and barrel, with the increments they keep increasing the cost, which by far outweighs the actual cost increase that they have incurred. You are in a building that only uses electricity (the lights) when activated by the motion sensors, so what is the real cost increase that this company now faces? It was handled like a classic bait-and-switch situation. They talked him into downsizing to an 8x10 unit so that he could save money. Again, mind you he is disabled and he would have to ask for help from family or pay someone to move everything from one unit to the new unit. My brother being the type of person who doesn't want to ask for help or bother anyone, did this move on his own over a 1 month time frame using his cane to help him move the boxes and totes. So once completed he feels good about the final process and thought everything would be good. Fast forward three months and he gets that little white postcard in the mail. The new storage unit is now going up in cost by $59 a month. It went from $146 to $205 in three months' time. That is a little over a 39% rate increase! How can you justify that increase in three months with nothing being done? You did not give him anything extra, you did not add any new features to his unit, and you did not do a huge remodel that you need to now pay back by raising the cost to everyone. This is just the corporate SOP, standard operating procedure, to rake the clients over the coals because they can. Considering how many people have to use storage units nowadays, this is highway robbery. I would like to know, how do you justify this amount of an increase? Shame on you. I wish I was able to give a negative star rating, as that seems more accurate to the situation.

It was pleasant to work w/ Thomas who was very helpful and professional. He helped me locate my unit, provided alot of useful information and my unit was well-clean and perfectly prepared for my move-in - which went seamlessly.. Yard is reasonably well-kept and not trashy.. Good hours, points of access and layout. There are also carts you can borrow, which are super handy. Thanks!

today I needed a drive up access unit In an urgent matter of time , and a young man named BOBBY at the Avon,Ma location really took care of me. I had already rented a unit then realized later that i needed a drive up accessible unit, not only was he able to find me one for an amazing price in such a short period of time, but he was so patient and kind to me. he really made a difference in my day and I told him that he was a true blessing to me. you never know what ppl are going through and it always pays to be a nice person. and THAT he was. 5 star customer service
